assorted thoughts on players:
dats: the way they held back on placing alch at l-1 (211) felt oddly hesitant and i feel like i've recently witnessed him arguing that we shouldn't be super hesitant about placing the l-1 vote but i don't remember where this was so it's possible i'm misremembering. either way i feel like it was uncharacteristic statement. also he feels kinda subdued which i think is probably nai overall but even for like Dats Earlygame Subdued-ness this feels like it's stronger than normal, if that makes sense

ico: mindmelded at 206

nero: his side of the gamma/nero thing feels weird/wrong/ping-y, particularly 134. not sure i like the list he produced in 140, or his explanation for it in 224. 227 feels buddy-ish. also i kinda just like disagree with your assessment of ico? and of your opinion on alch's ico vote. actually just kinda dislike the progression on ico altogether

alch: ico vote was a bit ... not good. nor was the unvote (300). overall kinda underwhelmed / he's just making a bunch of inane comments that don't seem to be adding anything

echo: the voting tris five times thing feels like kinda ~out of tune with things~? not sure how to describe what i'm seeing other than like Too Scummy To Be Scum; it's just so out of left field that while it's ~bad~ i have a hard time seeing scum do the things he's doing (like when's the last time you've seen scum vote teh same person like five times after other people called it out after the fourth time. like it's not good but it would be weird scum behavior, if that makes sense). dislike the testa vote (335). dislike the votign progression overall. he just feels super self-aware tho and like lampshading his own scumminess that it feels kinda unlikely to come from scum? 492 is one post that does ping me tho, feels over the top and like he's trying to play up that angle

tris: this is largely off of the first few pages but i think she has a hard time posting in a ~carefree fashion~ as scum like that (see: team mafia)

testa: just really ~ good vibes~ off of like nearly everything they've written

if i were to ignore things like 'deadlines' and 'the current votecount' i would probably be voting nero here but given those considerations that's probalby not the smartest thing to do. i would be down to like flashwagon him but idk the current gamestate well enough to tell if this is something i can get traction for or not

i am kinda baffled by the development of the gamma wagon:
- i feel like he's been fairly town
- nero has been trying to pick a fight with him all game, and gamma's responses have been kinda belligerantly townie
- i can't even tell why he's getting wagoned. the ev wagon i at least kinda get but this gamma one like randomly seems to be a Cool Thing To Do but i don't know why this is a thing that's happening. feels like something that scum's ok with and/or is pushing.

i'm also not super convinced that ev is scum here
if i had to pick a scum between gamma/ev i'd think ev but i'm not convinced there's scum in the pair if that make sense
so like if it's the sort of game where we're too close to deadline to make anything intersting happen i'd probably vote ev over gamma but i wouldn't, like, be Happy about it

i'm not really sure what the misrep was (it is possible i missed it when i started skimming last night but the closest thing i see to that rn looking at his iso is 461 and i'm not sure that's really a misrep)

a) wagoning someone who clearly isn't here so they can 'react to the wagon when they get back' is kinda a waste of time and wagoning because you can just ... wagon someone who actively is there, and then let the absent slot either get replaced, or if they return wagon them at that time. it's a silly waste imo because the person you're trying to get a reaction out of isn't even there to produce said reaction
b) i'm not sure ico (in particular) would even react super strongly upon returning to a wagon that formed on him while he was mia, because he was mia

i think his reaction to nero's push/spat thing on him was townie
he doesn't really seem to care about how his posts are being perceived (which i believe to be a townie trait), and is just posting whatever passes through his mind in the thread. like i think he's posting things that make *sense to him* even though they don't necessarily make sense to everyone else, and he doesn't care how everyone else thinks/feels about such things (i'm thinking of how he replaced his vote on ico)

i was just saying what's historically happened, in every game that skitt and i have been t/t, (1) i at least at some point thought she was scum and wanted to vote her, (2) our reads were completely different, with hers being much more accurate than mine. (and in one game where she was scum against town!me she pocketed me and it didn't end well.)

In both the game I played with skitter and in the game that I read while playing that game she had 1 correct scum read early on and then spent the rest of the game(s) tunneling town. So in my limited experience (this is our third game) a singular correct scum read seems to be the limit of her ability. And she's already done nothing but tunnel town so if she's town her play has already been rather poor and if she's scum then she's just scum and thinks I'm an easy hedge.

i was using that post to make my position clear. namely, that i would ideally want to vote you, and that i don't especially like the current wagons. i was trying to get a sense for what the gamestate was at that juncture (i.e. if a flashwagon was even possible), and p clearly stated where i would vote in the event it wasn't.

i disagree with the assessment here, because survivalistic town would also not be making that vote. I'd argue that it's more scum!indicative then town, and that it gives + scum equity to the cw as scum are more likely to not be counter-voting on partners.

A) so the thing is that i fundementally dont believe survivalism to be a town-indicative trait, but it is fairly correlated with being scum imo

I would love it if Skitter is town b/c thats one less slot I have to sort but the things she's saying and doing worry me. Like, being useless with her vote until I called her on it seems scummy.
