Overall, I find it helpful when I have a big catch up like that to take notes and sort how I feel about people. I just decided to post my hip-shot notes in thread. I wouldn't take most of those as set in stone right now, since as you can see there are a number of people I didn't get strong enough reactions from to even list.

What do you think about my sorts and how do they align with yours?

Well, for me personally I don't like committing to alignment reads unless I'm sure certain. But, I can see the logic in a player taking slip-shod notes as they re-read.

If it were a "passing observation" it'd be one thing, but he felt that he had to get involved in the process with the pressure on Monkey. It wouldn't be such a red flag with me, but Datisi was also involved with the shit with Wu, which I felt was a weak push in the first place.

I think that he is bringing new ideas to the table and approaching the situations with nuance, but also I'm inherently biased because I'm the one being suspected and I know he's wrong. I think him not mentioning where he stands on GeneralWu is a little weird considering he's been one of the most controversial out so far today and I disagree with the consensus on you because I know you're typically snappy and whatnot. That makes me TR Nero more for wanting Ari to fulfill your request and Nordom is currently a strong TR for me as well.

I think he's just being honest here. The way he's been playing with this "car-crash attitude" doesn't really seem like scum. The only reason I say this because I pulled similar shit in previous games as town. It's not as effective as "calculated" responses, but it's easy to get a town-tell read from, which I do at this point.

To follow up on this - for what it's worth I'd mostly been TR'ing Yeet until now and felt like their approach would've been quite strange and really bold from mafia. But that post just caught me as incredibly weird when going through, how can you simultaneously be frustrated there's not enough of a bandwagon on someone while insisting they've been the most mafia-read player so far? Yeet may still come out as town and that wouldn't surprise me but I dunno, just a really odd post to make.

Going back to this, it's not as if Datisi didn't have their own reads or suspicions early on though. If I remember correctly they'd had a go at both Tenebros and Skitter. There'd be no need for them to desperately conjure up some sudden mafia reads for having a lack of them so far.

Overall I feel like the mafia case for Datisi feels really disjointed and inconsistent so far and I'm not seeing it yet. Yeet's initial push early on was based on very little and Yeet was confidently making all sorts of big claims and giving major reads at an incredibly early point in the game with a confidence that probably wasn't warranted.

I would be interested to see what fireisred picked up on regarding Nordom, but I don't think that Nordom is town. I will attempt to explain why I think this but I'm not sure it will be exactly right. In any case though, what struck me as I was reading the latter part of the game was I guess, just the way that Nordom is playing. There is clear activity, and lots of asking questions of other players, but most of these actually appear rather pointless. 707 as an example, feels like it comes from a place of "hmmm i want to ask this person a question" rather than having any real town basis. But also, regardless of pointlessness, why is someone so keen on looking like they're asking other people questions, so deiriding of people engaging with them? The interactions with fireisred, with skitter, with me even, do not feel like real attempts to actually figure someone out or get a sense of what they are thinking. It's overall just very dismissive.

The Datisi read and progression in particular makes no sense and does not feel like it comes from a genuine place. Nordom was fairly consistent in scumreading Datisi for a while there, to the point where he apparently believed he was the first on the wagon (which I doubt given Nordom's 493 specifically talking about wagons). There was also encouragement of Yeet's Datisi suspicion in 724, but then in 754 he gives the cop out of "if Datisi replies in a satisfactory manner, I'm switching my vote to VP". If Nordom thinks Datisi is scum, why is he almost.. expecting to be moving his vote? I don't get the sense of real genuine scumhunting processes behind this. There isn't any interest in why other people might think Datisi is town, for example.

It started when Deas voted for me. My initial thought was "Oh, okay maybe this is just a mis-informed effort post by town"

But, when I started thinking about it, it feels like maf trying to cut me off at the pass before I can make any possible move towards them. Deas came out with that post after I repeatedly gave comments that were questioning them. I honestly feel like he was trying to pocket me, but saw it wouldn't be so easy and decided to take the initiative in voting me first.

I've already established my reasoning a few pages back. Wu was the pressure push and Monkey was just the idle comment because he was a popular choice at the time.

Also, it takes no effort to be considerate of other people, and you're being a jerk, nord. The people you've insulted so far are cool people who just want to play a game and have fun. It'd be good for you to consider that. We can certainly have a heated game of mafia and argue, but if someone asks you politely not to cross a line, just show a little respect, same as you would if you're talking to someone face to face. I don't think people are attacking you, so there's no need to get defensive about it. They want you to be in this game and to play. They're just asking for mutual respect.
