Stop playing dumb. There was no kill n1, and transcend was protected. It seems likely transcend was killed, and he had to have been killed for a reasons. Scum don't WIFOM n1 kills.

Infinity projected his in-thread read of me (town) onto the whole town, and therefore thought of me as a good kill target, but was presumably persuaded otherwise (possibly by JarJar, who would have done the same thing in reverse).

Infinity can't be scum if he gets to pick who dies and gets a vig shot.

This makes sense, but I think the odds that Infinity is a scum PR that can interfere with other town PR's (the most likely case of this being where Infinity is a strongman and Manuel still has his vest) are greater than the odds that he's telling the truth (and that scum don't have some way to block his shot).

Since his claimed role is not only not normal, it's an unknown variant of how the role normally works, AND he backtracked on it saying that it could only absorb one ability after I pointed out a contradiction in his claim (which is a further change from the original Absorber), AND he said that the ability he did absorb was the factional kill when absorbers normally can't absorb factional actions, AND he said he thought that which ability was chosen was random, which would be explicitly non-normal.

Scum killed zach. I got a kill shot as a result of that. It's a vig because that's what you call a kill shot that is not a mafia faction kill (which my shot is no longer).

I have a bad feeling about this. If Infinity is town and we lynch him we risk losing the game. We can easily ynch someone we think is scum regardless of infinity's alignment today, and then lynch infinity tomorrow if he doesn't prove himself with a shot.

MathBlade scumread him and i had a scumlean on him Day 1. Other then that noone really mentioned a townread on S_S as far as i remember.

Also this Variant of Absorber sounds very unlikely as you didnt mention it saying anything about absorbing a nightkill.
And why would you want to target possible Nightkilltargets with that variation of Absorber?

Ok. I though s_s was widely townread and therefore a likely NK target. Apparently I was wrong, I don't know what gave me that impression.

I wanted to target potential NK targets because it's harder to predict the actions of town PRs. Plus it gives me a chance to get a doc or watcher shot.

Why do I want to shoot jarjar? Because I think transcend was shot for a reason...

I didn't expect a watcher. I mainly wanted to get the mafia NK because that is easiest to predict. Doctor and watcher were another possible benefit I considered, but watcher is a rare role because of how powerful it is.

I don't think scum would kill transcend if jarjar was town, it's as simple as that. My reads can be wrong, but facts can't. I'm pretty sure there were people more townread than transcend, and WIFOM kills are almost never done n1, especially since transcend didn't have a single main suspect. Only reason I want to lynch jarjar most is because he looks less town to me than math and nadr. Math also has the crumb thing going on

I don't think scum would target you since gamma is town and I think they'd predict that your tunnel would interfere with your play. Quite a few people townread you, but you just replaced in so you were still potentially a realistic mislynch.

I don't think math should out yet, but that is certainly something we'll have to work out later.

As for the last scenario, that would suck, but I'm ok with being lynched them if that's the case. At least a prime suspect will die overnight instead of who scum want.

What'd you guys think of my claim

I was in a really tough spot since there obviously wouldn't be another protective in the game, and claiming watcher would be a cc obviously. I suppose I could've pulled something out of thin air, like "target a player, when that player dies you get their role" or some shit like that. I was expecting a tracker and then I would claim 1-shot watcher 1-shot something else and say ninja made sense in that case, but bleh. Basically I hate the watcher role.

I had fun, if you guys didn't notice in general we tried to hard defend each other as much as possible. Only reason I voted jar at start of d3 is because there seemed to be a lot of support for jar on d2 and I was scared I had to bus.

But hard defending each other is one of the reasons math and jar were able to survive for so long despite the transcend fear kill being brought to people's attention.
