I think Kdowns deciding to trade for a dog here is pretty bad considering multiball. You don't have to shout your role the first result you get. The role is even worded in such a way as to raise the possibility of a miller ("I will tell you if they have dog DNA")

I think killing andante without a claim is atrocious. Yeah, its possible that you never get away from flipping this today but theres at least a possibility that they claim miller here and people at least consider it and you get some utility out of the day.

Andante is pretty obviously supposed to claim their role d1 I think but I don't hate not claiming if you think you can avoid suspicion/drawing invests. I think Andante's day 1 play basically screamed "investigate me" though so I think that was also pretty poor.

Interesting, I didnt think your play this game was remotely similar to Anime destroys untrod tripod myself, which is my only (I think?) experience with your town game. Obviously I'm biased in that I knew your role but I don't think you played as townie as you think you did.

I really don't like how fast the pooky wagon just took off. That was my only concern about placing my vote their to begin with, but I don't see a better option. I still wish to see a better case against him come out before we get to many more votes. Realistically, from what i understand, he has two previous games. One scum and one town. realistically that isn't enough to try to compare his playstyle to previous games. When i was new to mafia, my playstyle would really switch up. It was also radical and often trollish. I wasn't trying to be, i was just new. What's really going to come down to is his interactions with other scum. Ill leave my vote for now, but i really don't like how fast this is going.

This ruleset is an experiment in being much more active as a mod in policing toxicity and tone and essentially giving myself leeway to do things like this. I think it's going well so far, though I think part of that is that we have a generally pretty jovial player list who isn't really prone to that sort of toxicity normally. I don't think Titus and Pooky are generally toxic players at all and I don't think either of them were trying to be toxic by using that term, but I also think its really fair to ask them not to say it lol.

I think beeboy flaking as mostly scum is true. I've experienced it several times before such that I'm probably just not going to let beeboy play anymore games of mine. That doesn't mean that beeboy never flakes as town, but I've seen a lot more examples over the years of beeboy getting a red PM and just choosing to never play.

It's pretty lame either way no matter your allignment. I think it's really inconsiderate of others to sign up to a game and then not choose to play. Being busy is not an excuse either, because then you should either pm the mod and tell them to replace you or simply ask for a V/LA.

I did the same thing in among us, it's just way too hard to do anything D1 in a large theme, there is way too much going on. Of course once I get going I act in the way that people "expect" so the next time people remember that and not that I usually have slow starts to games. It's also somewhat useful strategy as if I roll a PR I can get an action N1 and I often find myself in endgames where I have more influence. But I'm never upset about dying as a VT, that's just good play.

I think Murdercat has played roughly 100% of the games I've ran in what I would call the "modern Shea era" of the last 2-3 years or so.

Shea games are basically must play even if large themes aren't my preference. The only reason I didn't in the the first round of signups was because I was playing an LSG or was tired from playing an LSG (I forget the exact timing). You also get really good plists to sign up.

I forget that not everyone likes larges. I generally like them as a mod because they give me the most design space to fuck around in but maybe i should make my next game a mini.

I think its possible I should have given the dogs just slightly more power, but the idea of the setup was to give everyone roughly a 25% chance of winning among town rats cats dogs. So if it felt like your individual faction was underpowered thats likely because it was, by design. Giving everyone a fair chance at winning sort of gives everyone a reasonably low chance of winning by default.

I also think maybe it was incorrect to make Titus an alien cop specifically. In designing the setup I liked the ambiguity of the role in that it could either be flavor or a faction and sort of gave the town a chance of considering three factions if it flipped, but seeing it in practice I'm not sure I love the effect. It sort of made the claim a touch more dubious than I wanted it to be and derailed the game a little bit more than I wanted in terms of a red herring. I don't think it was awful and it accomplished a lot of the stuff I wanted it too but it kind of feels like "Horse cop" would have accomplished a lot of the same things while giving titus a little more believability and would have derailed the game slightly less.

I also think it mostly has to do with the apathy being projected by s_s and to a lesser extent others. Each day this game other than the andante day there were wagons on scum. Each day town ended up moving off them and eliminating town instead.

Like the narrative that scum completely controlled the game play in this game is just factually wrong. The town just failed to find scum repeatedly.

It does not, but tanking a town game you are currently playing so that you can win a scumgame in the future breaks mafia rule 9, the way I've always interpreted it.

It's tricky because being super readable when town but not Scum kind of breaks that rule in the other direction.

I think there's a ton of players on the site these days who only care about being town read as town and basically cannibalize their whole scum game to accomplish that.

I think you need to be a lot more proactive in attacking someone who counter claims you. I know it's not really your game but you have to know the likelihood of the cc coming from scum there is like 98%.

If town had elimmed BHL yesterday they would have still had a shot.

They technically still do have a shot if they elim BHL or raya today and then scum cross kill.

that would leave us with raya/BHL, S_S, flow trap tomorrow with the chance to elim the last rat to win.
