I didn't want to jump in when I am in the middle of work, but I would like to point out, Gamma and I had discussed yesterday in our PT that I should kind of take the reigns early on before he comes with his big catch ups and posts. I was in Court this morning and am now at work and need to mull over what's been said, probably re read and whatnot.

Also, don't expect me to follow up on saying that someone's argument makes sense. Even if I'm not buying into an argument I can generally tell when they are based in logic and when they are based in lies and misstatements. While I don't agree with Beeboy, I would use that to get something of a town lean, that's what I want to do, hear reasoning, and use that rather than the conclusions, to determine if someone is being scum.

Finally, despite being anime and not the best anime ever (Garfield) a vague recollection of what I have read tells me that Maid Cafe is a townlean for me.

1) Reads based on activity are generally stupid and I will personally fight against an activity based read on any slot, especially my own.
2) Decision was made pretty late (like 9:30 pm my time), I went to bed instead.

To my understanding, I have a very inconsistent way of acquiring mana. But primarily, two ways:

1) Not using my Planeswalker ability

2) I target someone with my Planeswalker ability. For 2 phases, I gain Mana the same way they would, and I gain their abilities. I can only do this once per dayphase.

I'm literally a temporary copy-cat.

At most, my abilities wouldn't be original or stagnant ones. I'm not expecting other people to claim this early, especially after mine.

I figured if I claimed and stated that then it would avoid confusion later in the game when abilities and roles would likely be discussed.

I agree with Chara’s point even though something pinged me. Your claim gives me scum pings too. Don’t know why yet. Since your claim is out there can you expand more on why you claimed?

Me claiming would definitely strike conversation and get reads going, especially in engaging me. I think it progressed the game a bit, and seeing people's reactions helped me start forming my own reads.

Plus, conversation now could be referenced later to help game solve.

My ability is both changing and replaceable, so I didn't see a huge reason to stay quiet about it in the first place.

Once I understood how it worked, I thought making it clear would help dissolve uncertainty later in the game. Furthermore, even though I expected people not to claim - specifically massclaim like what

Yeah. It’s a tactic I have seen from good scum. State the truth (claiming is a bad idea) in an emotional way but not delve into why they claimed. I have seen it way too many times and it made me flash to that. You’re probably still town but I think I am pinged by it not digging deeper. Does this make sense?

Specifically because they have two short posts one of which claiming confusion so they had read. So if they were confused about your original post and saw no one was claiming why didn’t they ask you how you felt or try to ascertain what was going on. By asking Taly why I can see if the slot was not reading as indicated before or they were and chose to delay posting content.

bold a player's full name when I reference them. It means absolutely nothing. Bolding helps me organize my posts so I don't forget something when I'm typing them, and when I'm reading through a thread, having something in bold catches my attention.

I want people to know I'm mentioning them, because they're relevant to my posts.

I have a loose strategy for how I'll use my ability. If I learn something that could help Town later on, I'd probably let someone know if I'm targeting them. If I'm uncertain about a claim, or a specific mechanic on someone is noted, then I may target for clarity.

So, Taly claimed a high utility scum role. That eh...makes me torn, for obvious reasons. I get that the roles were made before alignments were assigned, but the act of claiming such a role is *much* better for scum than town(since Taly just outed an investigative and can no longer catch scum lying using their role).

@Taly: Let me be more precise: Scum are *less* likely to lie about their role, now that they know a means exists by which they could be caught. I mention in that same post that I'm aware that roles and alignment were generated independently, but I say your role is a high-utility scum role because it's *higher* utility for scum than town, since scum!you would have teammates you could duplicate, in addition to the ability to rolecop people.
