How can your scumplay be good if you are "very easy to read"? By definition, you'd be obvscum when you're scum, so, it would necessitate poor scumplay! In post 679, BBmolla wrote:

I think my scumplay is better than my townplay because then I don't have to be honest. When I'm honest people seem to get upset with me.
This is a rhetorical question. Just an offhanded comment, I believe BBmolla is town here.

With regard to the issue of NSG's miller claim:
I absolutely missed the miller claim, didn't see it at all, but from NSG's posts independently I've been townreading her outside of it. I see no reason to change my read based on something as irrelevant as a miller claim.
My townread on NSG is also supported by the fact that Pine is unlikely to pick NSG; it's more likely that NSG would be snagged by Alisae along with the rest of us (myself and Maria), so it's a pretty comfy read for me.

It appears that I have had one misdirected mindset about the game, which is with regard to modmetagaming reads, i.e. who would have been picked to be on Pine's scumteam.
According to likely-true information given from Pine with regard to the setup, Pine had the first pick, before Alisae pickedthreeplayers to be on town, instead of just one like I previously thought. This gives a highly significant advantage to Alisae and town, as Alisae would get significantly more of her choices, and decision control over her town team, than Pine would have for his own team.
Therefore I need to remind myself to approach this section of the game as "Who would Alisae pick" rather than "Who would Pine pick". This should be tackled more in the way of "Who's on Team Alisae" rather than "Who's on Team Pine".
This is just a reminder to myself, though it should be shared in the event that others are making the same mistake as well.

Besides, I have a lot more knowledge with regard to who would be on Team Alisae rather than Team Pine. Heck, I don't even know who Pine is.

Unfortunately, the only players who I can be extremely confident to be on Team Alisae is only the following: Myself, MariaR, Mulch, NSG, Chara.
Since Ellibereth complicates the Chara slot... yeah. If Pine picked Ellibereth as a first pick, as some players in this game are theorizing, there's no way I can clear that slot. That so doesn't help. Bah.
The rest of the playerlist I'm not familiar with, or would likely be leftovers on the bench.- Kuuhaku

With regard to this, it's not necessarily circular. General player competency estimations need not necessarily be influenced by alignment. In post 653, northsidegal wrote:
doesn't it seem rather circular to you to look at bbmolla's play this game, after he's received his alignment, and use that to make a judgment about what his play would be like as scum? either circular or already assuming bbmolla is town, no?In post 642, Kuuhaku wrote:

like, you look at bbmolla's play this game and say "oh, this guy is playing a weak game, so he probably wasn't chosen for scum", when the converse of bbmolla being scum being the reason for him playing a weak game is also valid?
I believe, your argument is, that I can't conclude that I can judge BBmolla's play from this game, since, his alignment has been decided already. But the fact of the matter is that I can construct accurate estimations and extrapolations of a single player's competency based on their play in a single game.
Take RC, for instance. If you played with him in a game, and only one game, you already might have certain conclusions of what kind of player he is; i.e. domineering, charismatic (?), egotistical. These traits need not necessarily be because he rolled scum; there arejust there. With such observations, it isn't difficult to conclude that, because of these traits, RC would likely be a strong scum player. Then, working backwards, if RC was in a game with non-randomized alignments, it would be logical to deduce that RC would more likely than not to pick a scum alignment than town alignment.
The same applies here. Sure, you may argue that BBmolla is playing a weak gamebecausehe is scum, rather than my position that BBmolla is not scum because he is playing a weak game. But, several players are able to play a strong game regardless of their alignment. It begs the question: if BBmolla is known to play weak games as scum, would he even have been picked to be scum in the first place? Would Pine knowingly sacrifice the chances of his team winning, the fact that BBmolla would likely be caught, and also a valuable team slot, just to pull such a reverse-psychology stunt?
The answer is up to you to decide. But my answer is no, he would not. BBmolla won't be chosen to be scum unless there was no other choice.

Reads before I leave (mostly unchanged from my previous reads post)
Never Loses: Kuuhaku (Kiana Kaslana + Shiro)
Townreading: Lady Lambdadelta, MariaR, Mulch, Northsidegal
Probably won't get picked by Pine so odds are town: xRECKONERx, Aristophanes, BBmolla
Light scumread: Firebringer,
Scumreading: Ginngie, Mathdino, Centipede Syndrome (Ellibereth + Chara)
Yet to sort:
- shos
- DrippingGoofball
- mastina
- Implosion
- Parama
The changes here are that NSG goes into the town pile while Parama gets kicked out, after some valid concerns that Shiro has raised. Shiro is also townreading Firebringer; my scumread on him was the weakest when I had made that comment, so I will pause on that as well.

camn and Pine have wincons. Alisae does not.
Also you need to stop masonhunting. The vast majority of scumwins in mason setups are lost because town is full of dumb shits that accidentally force the masons to out themselves. See history of Friends & Enemies.- Mathdino

In between the time that I saw this post and me currently writing this post, I have completed a full ISO of you. I pre-empt that you will ask for an explanation for my scumread on you (as if questions like these do you any good...)In post 712, Mathdino wrote:wait you still around kiana?
The reasons are the following:
- Your early game play appears to be devoid of scumhunting or genuine attemtps to game solve.
- Forced attempts to steer discussion into "policy lynch" territory give scum in general (possibly including yourself) ample room to hide.
- Your posts do feel off compared to the last time I played with you in Be Yourself Mafia

It's not my problem that the average Mafiascum town is full of dumb shits. I play by my way. Those failures do not apply to me.
I want to know if the mason is already overlapped with my current townreads, or >> I can add another unsorted player to my lock-town pile << . That is my goal.- Mathdino

Pretty sure that Alisae is roleplaying that she's on the town's side, along with Camn.In post 715, Mathdino wrote:camn and Pine have wincons. Alisae does not.
Of course, as a game host, the real wincon for her is to ensure that the game is successful, and that the players have lots of fun. That's herrealwincon. But, the flavour for this game appears to be Pine vs Alisae & Camn, so, that's a reasonable assumption to make, and one that I will follow.
