Flavorclaiming is conceivably risky if there are roles out there that target individuals. Also, some players have more obvious qualities which would give clues to powers. Mastina, for example, will obviously have some sort of wallposting-related power. I'd rather not speculate further.

That said, whoever was issued my role is probably scum, so it may cut both ways.

Actually, the chance there's roles that target flavours (ie I target Pine the flavour not Pine the user) is nonzero, and yea fair enough there aren't too many benefits.
