LLD is the sort of player who would fake a tinfoil there I guess
Like, I doubt she expected to get Eddie lynched but she probably thought it would be a good thing for town points?
And I agree she backed off a little too easily
If this were a case of "my read on Eddie changed as a result of what you said" I might even agree, but this is a case of "I literally thought of a better plan" and then enacted it.
You'll notice in this plan, Eddie still dies if we don't lynch scum promptly.
Yes my Lord, but questions are dangerous, for they have answers.

But I mean, its risky to let possible scum live for so long
And you have no guarantee town will listen to you and lynch them the day before lylo like you want
So someone strongly thinking that claim is scum probably doesnt back down so quickly

I am confident in my ability to push that lynch through at that time, and if I'm dead before then, it's not like I can do much about it. I would hope people look at my death and consider why I died and then do my plan, but it's not my problem once I die, so.

But I'm not?
My initial reaction was that Eddie was scum, and then we talked about it... and now we have a better understanding of how we should play around the claim.
honestly, the way you backed out of it seems like how a wolf would back out of a push it feels too much like trying to maintain a solid push rather then a push that’s right
you are Pine and Alisae, so I cannot believe you are saying this with a straight face.
I don't back down from pushes... like... ever.
This was a scenario where the more I talked it out and considered everything, the more I felt my gut reaction was incorrect and chose to pick a different path. I still feel like my analysis of the likelyhood of things being put in this game was ok, but I also feel like my plan solves my concerns and I'm MORE than happy to give people rope to work with when they agree to be slated for death?
The thing is, when youre pushing your read, you dont think of all that
I insist on this because i often push unpopular reads and its rare ill back down even if people come up with the most logical arguments
So you getting convinced and backing down there feels unnatural

what really annoys me is generally you'd be right, but my vote restriction and other stuff kind of force/make me want to play slightly differently?
Mechanically, this made more sense, and my only scum inclination on Eddie WAS the claim at the time.
I got what I wanted from it (reactions from Eddie and players around Eddie, a deal that people should follow because it makes sense to counteract the negatives of Eddie's role claim, conversation on why I felt that role was scummy) and then decided there wasn't anything else there that couldn't be solved with this plan.
I've been doing this recently, where I take players with claims like that and give them ultimatuum on "time to live" and it's like: Perform well or die?

Like... I can understand the perspective that LLD generally won't back down, but the fact is that is true as both alignments for LLD, and this is more a "game state/mood" situation than it is indicative of my alignment.

So um
am I going crazy or does this read as dishonest to anyone? Because it reads as dishonest to me.
tbh the fact that I wolfread LLD is making me think I'm crazy but if wis and Cheeky share my concern maybe its not just me.

It's not dishonest and I
know
you've seen me do this I just can't talk about it.
Like... that's what makes this hard.

Can you please perform well?
I recognize that I'm not playing like I normally do, I'm really thrown.
I'm going to improve and start doing more, I just... I dunno, I need to get my bearings and figure out the best way to approach it.

tbh when I originally wrote that, I was under the impression I was interpetting something I recieved by the forces of your BFF as something waaay differently.

With respect, I prefer not to. Not because I can't, this is actually one of the reads I CAN do fairly reasonably reliably well. But because I feel it best to not.
