If so, I’m not trying to discourage you from posting. Town just has to work together here: of scum can look like an average town player by posting their thoughts only like once a day then we’ll never have enough information from scum to find them

invisibility’s gameplay so far reads to me as eerily similar to greatest idea mafia, in which they were town, and i had a townlean on them in this game. invisibility’s motive seems to be the same one as it was in that game, thus = very likely to be town.

@Stun, re:Invis - Ive played with town invis at least twice here, and he has played a similar style as here, but with less "reads" discussion. But my meta dive on a scum game of his suggested it was NAI.

@Xander, re:Intvis - I have never seen him post more than a tweet. Among the reasons I always have hard time sorting him.

Esp has barely stated a reason for thinking plat is scummy - and has barely provided reads in general, honestly. (Espeonage, even if your reads are light, please do more as IC to demonstrate strong play I.e. questions, reads, discussion) Then Esp “checked the vote count and realized I hadn’t been voting there yet”

I’m thinking Esp actually checked the vote count and realized there was a player with two votes who seemed easy to mislynch

I don't really find plat that scummy. We need wagons though. This is not in any way a lynch wagon.

sure, of all the presently-backed wagons that i don’t have my vote on, the ones that appeal the most to me are platfleece, wingedcatgirl and espeonage.

espeonage, for an ic, i feel has put out very little readable game content—which concerns me. ic’s should be demonstrative by how they play the game themselves—which would then perhaps having an effect of rubbing off on newbies.

platfleece feels like a potential newbie scum slot to me, but has 3 votes already and i don’t feel comfortable enough about my assertion to place them at L-1.

wingedcatgirl has given 3 votes already with very little substance as backing, and is notably classified as an SE in this game. so, i’d like to see more there.

for now, i’ll VOTE: Espeonage

Completely understandable.

This game is difficult for me, mostly because I am social player. I get most of me reads from directly arguing with people and getting passionate in doing so. Which generally means I need people to feed off.

But that vote, for game state is better and gets a bit of a wagon/counterwagon vibe going.

@Elephant - just writing that I saw the question. I actually scum Plat more than I did when I voted. Given several comments from Newbs with questions on what and how to read, I want to write an overly long and detailed case and the theory behind it, so Im going to leave it for tomorrow. Hope everyone had a good weekend and can play more this week!

Well at the very least it seems my actions have definitely stirred up discussion so I'm grateful for that. I'm still waiting for Winged's explanation on voting me though, since I'm still certain she's the one with the actual vote reason on me, which started off this bandwagon in the first place.

Since the talking point has been about my bandwagon though...

do you still scumread me the most regardless of my reasonings that I gave off, or did my reasonings give you more scumreads of me? What about the other wagon hoppers? What are your thoughts on them?

And in case the question comes up, I feel like Esp is sort of justified in voting me late as he provided his own reasoning way back, and he didn't have a vote on anyone yet. I don't think he specifically jumped on a bandwagon for a lynch reason.

But I want to hear Teach's opinion on the wagoners as well still.

I would be surprised if Plat and Espeonage were scum together, the wagon on plat was pretty ho-hum and didn't mean much up until esp added a vote there. Now, plat is not far from L-1 or getting lynched, which is not a situation I think scum!espeonage would put scum!platfleece in.

In a Bayesian (statistics) way, I should probably lean both players toward town, then. Hm.

I went ahead and tried to go back through the thread, just to get a read on people.
I'll provide my analysis based on that?

pg. 2 Invisibility calls out Platfleece and Teacher as early townreads, due to them "pushing along conversation".
And I can see the reasoning; Mafiascum, I'm assuming, wouldn't care if there was much of a conversation because they do their killings at night, right? Whether the town lynches or not isn't a concern, considering they're going to kill someone at night and slowly chip away at a victory.
I'm okay with the Platfleece read, but as for Teacher I'm unsure, because they do just seem like a genuinely helpful person who wants to help out the newbies at the game?

I realize I didn't answer your question, but I still don't know what I'm looking for or what questions to ask.
Also, someone asked me to add an avatar and I finally got around to it. I'm artistically inclined, just lazy.

Townreading isolato for this post. I had the same read on teacher - he seems to genuinely want to help newbies, and multiple players think he is town for that reason, and it's not a bad reason, but it's definitely not enough.

That leaves me with town of invis, me, isolato, stungun
temporarily ignoring plat and espeonage because at most one of them is scum
which leaves 1-2 scum in teacher, xander, and wingedcatgirl (my townread on the cat here has dissipated because of the limited posting)

I'm unclear on Xander, I don't have much of a read on teacher yet but he's posting enough that I think I'll get one soon, and wingedcatgirl is V/LA so I'll hold off on voting her.

I just said I don't have a read on teach? So, it's odd that you'd assume that I'm scumreading him.

His vote is honestly fine for me. It seems like he had enough from invisibility to not want to be voting him, and you were a convenient new vote that he didn't have a read on yet. I guess that might be what you mean by opportunistic, but I've seen town create wagons to sort players at least as often as I've seen scum do it.

I say opportunistic because it was just after Winged voted for me with no explanation given at the vote post until I asked, and his first reasoning was Esp’s reasoning too, though he did also say he was looking for other wagoners so that’s also why I’m questioning him on that as well
