I can't get past this error in reporting night choices from Bloojay. Why would you ssay you healed when you investigated? I just don't buy it...

I'm also not sure about the Towlie claim from BSS. I mean we have 12 roles. We know Jesus and Mr. Hat were roles...and we know that Kenny is a role (even if we don't know the whole story...which I'm not so sure we do) That leaves 9.

We've heard role claims of Mephisto, Barbrady, and Towlie. Correct me if I missed one...that brings it down to six. One would expect that Stan, Kyle and Cartman are in the game. Down to three. Timmy (TIMMAY!!!) and Jimmy are good candidates as well (perhaps masons? ) One left...

I listed a group of characters here...but before I posted it I got to thinking...Why give the scum a list to work from? So I deleted it...lets just say that I came up with at least ten names easy that were a much better claim than Towlie. And that was off the top of my head. I don't buy towlie as a cop either...he really doesn't care that much about anything xcept ggetting stoned.

So, since I have such little experience at theme games. And could come across as totally scummy in my question, but would now be a time for a massive role name claim? We don't have to get into the mechanics but perhaps knowing the characters we are working with might be helpful. Just a thought...I want to step this up a notch...I don't feel like we're progressing all that quickly. We got a lot of information but not alot of discussion.

re bloojay: I tend to think if he was making it all up he would've got his story straight.

jedi: mods often put some more obscure roles in the game, to make it more balanced.. it guards against the mass role claim strategy favouring the town too much. I'm sure Nanook hasn't designed a game where a mass role claim would be the best town strategy.

I read somewhere that Towelie is the worst character to ever be on SP. Could that mean that he thinks the good players are bad and vice versa? I agree it's a strange role for a cop to have.

As I said, I didn't think that the role name would help directly, although it's interesting to see discussion about the role name.

OK, looking at the activity of everyone else, here's a summary of my thinking. If we lynch Bloojay and he happens to be town, which I personally believe, then IS is the next easy vote. However, we have the choice between a multi (heal/investigate/block) role, which I assume would always target suspected scum, and a plain doc role, who has to second-guess the scum choice. If you believe, as I do, that one of IS and Bloojay is scum, and assume no other information than the role claim, then I would choose to lynch the doc.

Here's my list of role claims:

I tend to agree with the reasoning you've outlined. I don't know why Bloojay had a mental lapse and messed up reporting night choices...but when it comes down to it we can base alot on lynching one of those two due to their reports. Because of who they claimed to investigate.

Talitha's role blocker claim also interests me. But I can't remember who she targetted and I've just spent 2 hours going through one of my other games...I don't feel like rereading anymore!

Its a tough call...I'd like to hear from some of the others with the new information that we have before I cast a vote anywhere.

The only reason I'm not voting for IS is because no-one has counter claimed to be the doc.

I've suddenly had another idea that maybe the mafia framer targeted IS on Night 1... thus reversing results on him, thus meaning that BSS should have got a guilty on him, thus meaning that both IS & blooj could be innocent.

So now I'm tossing up between voting for Peacebringer, Mr Gnome, and jediknight. Anyone want to try and sway my vote?

Interesting consideration, Talitha, regarding the mafia framer role. I'd totally forgotten that a killed role still has an action the night that he is killed. In addition, we never did have an explanation for the role ...

Thinking about this, your reasoning actually makes perfect sense, though it seemed to make no sense when I first read it. Since we probably have no more than two more scum, it is certainly in the town's interests for a counter-claim from a doc to come up IF IS is not the real doc. Why? Well, then we're down to one scum who's probably the godfather, who we have to find the hard way - role blocking and healing.

I'm wondering why people think that someone who is a townie is going to be more likely to make a mistake about what action they took at night than a baddie who is making the whole thing up...I highly suspect the ones who are peddling this (Talitha and jediknight). Unless I've missed something (which is possible, mind you!) this is the most backward theory I've heard in a while. If he's mafia and lying about it it makes it much easier for him to screw up. How on earth would you forget what type of result you got? The answer: you didn't really get it.

The more I think about this, the stranger I think it that a doc is able to heal himself. I figure that this either has to be an outright lie/deception (whether pro- or anti-town is another question altogether) or means that you have a doc role that alternates with a self-heal ability (like leaving the town so that you're inaccessible).

I'm not naive enough to expect that I get a response from you, IS, but one can always try ...

But I have come to a decision I think... Bloojay wouldn't come up with a cover and then forget it although I find it scummy. IS is IS...and its hard telling what he's playing at... I don't like the idea that someone called for a doctor to roleclaim second day but still...

But when it all comes down to it... MGIA does only show up when summoned and if Tally did indeed block him then he seems the best candidate of the three...
