ok, so i have a few softball games this evening, but i'll finish as much of this as i can before then. i'm committed to rereading all interactions and commenting on what's sketchy between teacher and flipped scum (plat) since i now know that teacher is scum.
24: platfleece here questions invis "what do you have to say in your defense invis?" but does not have his vote on invis, but teacher does. i could see this as trying to get a scummy reaction out of invis in order to justify teacher's vote on him, or even encourage platfleece to join that wagon.
45: teacher explicitly mentions why his play may be attributed to what it has been so far in this game: "I disagree with this meta and tend to be longwinded in one post, but Im a lawyer and so get paid by the word." also, contradicts himself by very clearly stating that he'll talk about associations between scumplayers
after
D1, even though he started this talk actually on D1 regarding associations with plat in his
290. I read into this now as him knowing that plat was going to flip scum, as that is the only reason for him to start anticipating plat buddy circumstances on D1 --> so he can set other people up for a mislynch on the following day phase.
56: i find it interesting that teacher switches from invis to plat right after wingedcatgirl's
52 starts the initial wagon on plat. i see this as trying to clear himself if his buddy happens to actually be lynched.
58 and
68: first townlean that plat hands out is on teacher for driving discussion (note: this was before teacher really got into his seemingly pro-town type of posting that had successfully fooled me), which seems now like a calculated scum distancing gambit now to me.
it seems like the main player that platfleece engaged in discussion with in the thread was teacher, which given that plat was somewhat of a newbie, this is a very common newbscum gameplay type with regard to their partner. this is pretty noticeable with a fair amount of attention to detail given to platfleece's iso.
72 and
75: exchange between platfleece and teacher in the thread regarding the reasoning of teacher's vote, which could have been a plotted distancing attempt between the two of them, given that teacher sheeped wingedcatgirl's initial vote with no reasoning attached except that he liked the wagon better than invis's.
76: apparently, plat feels wingedcatgirl is somewhat serious about the vote on him even though literally no reasoning was attached, but apparently does not feel that teacher is serious (because he opts to question teacher but not wingedcatgirl) --> now i see this as an obv scum partner alert w/o the wool being pulled before my eyes!
90: "However, I am in favor of lynching people who potentially lurk without actively abandoning the game." --> platfleece; she wanted a lynch upon lurkers, which should imply her scum partner is not a lurker. i guess you could say to an extent that D1 i was a lurker given my v/la on D1, so this was probably an early hint that we missed that teacher might be her scum partner.
Also, her comment on teacher here is icky: "Also teacher, despite your timing of the voting being iffy,
your reasoning if true makes you more townread for me
, but again, the timing of your vote still rings iffy for me." your reasoning if true --> what does that even mean? the degree of his townread is contingent on teacher's reasoning be true--essentially meaning he's using that as a modifier? that doesn't really make any sense. also, plat's post here draws direct attention to my slot without any reason to do so other than the lurkiness of 2 players before me. reads to me like she's fishing to see if she can get a wagon to develop on me, which should read like a scum observation on a townplayer given that she was already voting me. particularly, how she asks it here makes me think this is viable: "Random possibly Newbish thought, with the Daskter newbie slot being replaced twice now, how likely do you guys think the slot itself is scummy?"
note: this was stated right before i replaced in, which idk for what reason she would draw unnecessary attention to me other than that she wanted a wagon to form on me, and she was testing the waters (although her vote was already actually on my slot).
95: soon after fishing for more info about my slot, plat searches for info about xander --> another townie she may have tried to wagon with the proper cause.
106: plat proposes when i ask him who he townreads that only teacher applies, and uses icky reasoning again. "my townreads so far are really only teacher,
however the next post from him seemed iffy enough to get scum points from me.
" so i read into this that she's setting it up so that she can turn around and scumread teacher in the instance that we turn and scumread teacher ourselves, because this is very shoddy reasoning linked to townreading someone.
further, plat's statement here is sketchy with reference to teacher: "Now Xander's question.
You'll notice I didn't really bat an eye at Winged voting me, but I questioned why Teacher voted me
." this reeks of distancing to me now that i know nexus is town, because it reads as though she KNEW winged was town and thus didn't bother questioning her, but instead only questions teacher's vote --> and i feel that's because teacher is similarly scum. granted, the claim that it was because he "bandwagoned" her vote is plausible, but again this a newbie type of player speaking (plat) and i still find it especially sketchy because she found winged's initial vote to be "somewhat serious" but didn't feel the same way apparently with teacher's.
