This fencing between Hit and tw is excellent. They're both giving away a lot more than they think though.

From the scum PT:
In post 177, Skygazer wrote:I think a few people are very close to solving and I also see a lot of really off reads/solves

I do think that we hit a huge setback and that night actions will play a huge part in game solving later on so MoI if there's any kind of result/claim/whatever I can fake in the game thread to muddy the waters without getting one of us lynched I'd love to hear it
I think this is half of an excellent analysis. She's missing the fact that a Town with both near-solves and off reads can be tipped if you surgically eliminate the good reads. She's also missing that an exceptional night for PRs means most of them are now outed, and they can pick them off as needed

So just for the record, HitAlt is claiming that he "knows he was targeted for a kill last night"...that's bullshit. He wasn't, and nothing he was given suggests it. I have no idea where he's getting it from or where he's going with it.

Oh my gosh. I was so sure TW was a PGO that Dram had targeted. My mind is blown. Was right about MOI tho, which is nice.

I believe PGO is always non-Normal per new rules. It was permissible under the old greylist rule, but did not qualify for the new whitelist.

Oh, this was already page 2!
Insane roles Pine - I already enjoyed the "madness" in the beginning of D2, and would've likely continued to enjoy it.

I still haven't continued reading the game yet, but my thoughts around the time I decides to replace out, were fairly accurate.
MoI had become a suspect in my mind due to claims alone (I think I made a post where I had decided there's scum in Chick/Ausuka/MoI based on claims alone.
Ausuka I later deduced was very likely a townie over MoI, so PoE would've caught up to him on my books later anyway.
SkyG I sniffed out D1, so I'm happy with knowing that was correct, but I'm afraid I got sidetracked because of the whole "newbie!town" argument..
Brass became a red herring to me as well, mainly because I did not see a world where he would be the NK-target. His claim also felt very much faked.
As it turns out, I wasn't the target either(??), but due to me having claimed an investigative D1, I'd still argue I was way more likely a target than brass. Him refusing to see it made me think he was scum..
Profii managed to fly under my radar apparently, but I'm very surprised if they manage to surf their way all the way into the end.
Ducky I had a good enough metaread on to be confident on D1, but I was forced to out my claim which in turn changed my plans a lot.
My original ganeplan was to make two potential deepwolves (brass and MoI in my mind D1, maybe Andrius) feel safe enough to carry on their factional kill.

That is why I wanted to avoid fully claiming D1 until the very end - I didn't want scum to know HOW I could guilty them. And as it turns out, once I had to re-think my plans, I decided that Ducky might still be scum, and would now deem it necessary to kill me specifically (he knows the extent of how well I can read him anyway), so I decided to check him after all.
The way I drilled Ducky at the start of the day might have come across as a clownfiesta to everyone else, but I was very much confident he wasn't a vig after the way he acted and refused to hint his role properly and then claimed so stupidly. I think he finally realized what I was hinting at, and decided to take the approach of "annoyed Vig". That didn't fool me, but I was too busy and tired to make everyone else agree with me.

Such a shame - I believe this would've been a defining game for me if I had the energy to actually play it.
I am Alt. Hope it's a hit.

I think the only reason I'm able to read Ducky so accurately, is because we have a similar way of thinking.
I notice quirks and habits that I sometimes potray myself as scum, and it's always a lot easier to notice them on someone other than yourself!

Also to make clear - my read on Ducky was a general "not town"-read..I think he is easier to sort as a locktown / not-town -basis.
Until he claimed the dram-kill, I was dead-certain he had attempted to kill me.
And even after that claim, I felt certain he was SK over Vig. (And not only because he shot a claimed JK N1 without giving space for investigation/results to possibily clear that claim up.)
I am Alt. Hope it's a hit.

If any of you more-experienced mods has any reaction or advice with regards to how I handled the non-hammer there, I'd be interested to hear it.

It is my policy to bump replacing-out players to non-voting status, but here that caused what appeared to be a hammer, with the usual shenanigans surrounding a perceived but incorrect hammer. Except this time it was my rule quirk which caused it, rather than player subterfuge. Did I rob scum of a well-deserved (and badly-needed) mislynch? Or is it simply "no lynch is final until mod confirms it" territory?

I'm a bit anxious, because I can see both sides of it. I decided to stick to my policy here, but I'm not sure it was the right choice.

Scum are doing a really solid combination of distancing/bussing and scum theatre. If it works out for them, it's probably worth a Scummy nom.
