Newbie 1881 - Game Over

The last time I townread mafia was January of this year. I think if you have less reliable townreads then playing the way I do, via PoE and process-heavy reads, may not be as successful for you, but I still think that my current style of play is optimal to any other style of play that I have seen and I think that there is a reason why I am considered one of the best scumhunters on my homesite and eat N1 kills basically always. I'm talking myself up because I want you to play like this and get away from the messy, level 0 process play that is typical of mafiascum.

I was messy at times and made mistakes and had some moments where I really went crazy like my readflip on Flicker and that wasn't good, don't do those things.

fun fact i actually tried implementing a tr and poe style at the beginning because thats what formerfish did in previous game and it worked

it didn't work because i started out too generous with the townreads so everyone was town so i decided to be more skeptical/paranoid and then all my reads when to shit

I love playing town, because thing is, I just can't not SR someone that is scummy, and if one of those people is my partner I might end up getting them lynched LOL.

I find scum very stressful

the way i see it is as town, throughout the game ur motivation drains a bit and leading mislynching or outting prs are massive drains while leading a lynch on scum is a big boost to morale

but as scum anytime someone utters the words "you are town" is a massive morale boost so you get a lot more good feels as scum

As mafia you need to kill the people who are the most dangerous to your endgame. You need to be able to read the room to see who is the biggest threat, who is going to see through your manipulation and lies, who is going to get town to work together, who is going to prevent you from sowing chaos, who could be a power role. Oka wouldn't have been a good nightkill, he was chaos personified, was tunneling townies + defending Quick, and had claimed VT. Flicker and Iceman also softed VT (and were also low-impact villagers anyway). You should have been shooting in Why/FF, you can't risk shooting me because of protection. If you had a roleblock then roleblock me, shoot in Why/FF or roleblock in Why/FF, shoot at me.

Honestly this setup is extremely townsided, it's kind of shocking. On my homesite we would give scum a roleblocker and a rolecop at least to go up against an unrestricted doctor and neapolitan combo.
