we Were actually gonna NK FF, but then we realized that would incriminate Quick(not that it needed up mattering) but

"Reason being is that this will throw a lot of WIFOM into the game if people are trying to figure out why Flicker was killed."

As mafia you need to kill the people who are the most dangerous to your endgame. You need to be able to read the room to see who is the biggest threat, who is going to see through your manipulation and lies, who is going to get town to work together, who is going to prevent you from sowing chaos, who could be a power role. Oka wouldn't have been a good nightkill, he was chaos personified, was tunneling townies + defending Quick, and had claimed VT. Flicker and Iceman also softed VT (and were also low-impact villagers anyway). You should have been shooting in Why/FF, you can't risk shooting me because of protection. If you had a roleblock then roleblock me, shoot in Why/FF or roleblock in Why/FF, shoot at me.

Honestly this setup is extremely townsided, it's kind of shocking. On my homesite we would give scum a roleblocker and a rolecop at least to go up against an unrestricted doctor and neapolitan combo.

i think that giving scum guaranteed two prs might be a good way to reduce newb!scum flake

I talked about it in the dead thread, but wanted to thank everyone here as well. For what turned out to be a really emotional game, you all did a great job keeping things cool remaining respectful to each other. It's challenging as a moderator to know when to step in or to leave things alone. I'm thankful that I was mostly able to just leave you guys alone to work things out. If you think there's anything I could have done better with regards to this or anything else I'll be more than happy to talk about it via PM or in this thread.

I appreciate you defending my play. I take this as a sign that you were happy to be my Teammate, which is a good thing to hear.

In all honesty, though, my thought process as Town is very much off the beaten path. Because of this, I have a very difficult time replicating the same kind of reasoning as Scum that I have as Town. This is not to say that one need replicate their Town game as Scum - indeed, playing as Scum is much more about manipulating Town into making bad lynches then it is about looking Town. In fact, as Scum all you really need to do to have a very good chance at winning is avoid being lynched which means you don't actually need to be TR very strongly to win as Scum. I know full well my Scum game is not very good and it's a huge reason why I decide not to IC for newbie games. That said, I know I am fairly strategic as Scum, but unfortunately, because I cannot keep myself from being SR as Scum, this means I have to use other methods to win as Scum.

What I would have done differently this game:

The two biggest things would be NKing FF N1 (which we were debating in Scum Chat), and Claiming a PR before I was lynched. I am not sure why I didn't there. I am a little shy of PR claiming in general as Scum because I don't have very much experience doing such.

Following that, I probably should have put more effort into this game. I also feel like I wasn't really on top of Scum Chat as much as I would have liked.



Ultimately, Town won this game by working together and finding Town. That put Scum in a really bad spot considering Eragon was just trying not to get lynched/Sused D1 (nothing wrong with that really - especially in a bigger game) and I just don't know how to play as Scum really.

Gg everyone! This game was so chaotic and unbeliviably draining, but at the same time, quite fun! I just want to apologie for suddenly dropping out - I had a few things pop up that I needed to do, and would compromise my activity in this game

Kudos to town for pulling it together - Day 1 was quite chaotic but I’m glad to see we sorted things out. Sorry oka for tunneling you, in hindsight my push was a little silly but jeez, you confused me so much haha. Glad to see my other main scum read was actually scum

All the newbies were great and I hope to see you guys around the site and in other games. Oh and thanks for my replacement for making my slot not get lynched and for picking up a high activity game - kudos to you.

Nancy thanks for being obv town but ahhh I kept thinking if my town read was justified and if you were playing the long-con. Glad you weren’t
