I'm scumhunting, however, wagoning someone early on into the game is a good way to generate reads. People end up acting differently when they're under pressure.
I'm also trying to figure out what xx is getting at in general.
I find it odd that he's saying that he thinks Dojaj is scum, yet doesn't SR him.I am V/LA on Monday/Tuesday.|GTKAS:1 / 2 / 3 | ROOMS HAVE AIR ~ Who

It is not contradicting. Scum has to appear to be more town than other people, so therefore are usually more active early on when its just bs flying back and forth. In post 137, Lamees wrote:How can you even say pushing an inactive in a newbie game is a bad idea, then at the same time say scum has more incentive to be active? Just post man, talk to some of the more experienced players and see where our heads are at. If you have a shared read explore that. If you get read as scummy you can evaluate if the push is from town or scum and sort people that way.In post 141, dojaj wrote:

@Lamees a vote doesn't necessarily mean XX scumreads dojaj surely? I'm interested in why he doesn't specifically scumread him, but I don't see any reason why XX shouldn't vote to apply pressure. Dojaj's reaction can then be used to see if reads need adjusting.
Speaking of reads ...
So far I'm reading dojaj as scum.
With him, I could see XX's actions as bussing him combined with apparent reluctance to scumread him. I don't see any other interactions out of the usual with dojaj. That makes me think maybe one of the lower activity players could be scum with dojaj (all this is quite apart from my actual reads, I'm only thinking about who could be with dojaj if he is in fact scum)
For town reads, I don't really have any firm reads, but on "gut" feeling, I'd put Acrimonious, Former Fish and possibly XX in there. That might surprise you given what I posted earlier -but as I said, I could see him as potentially being scum with dojaj, HOWEVER I don't think that is the case.
For null reads I'd put everyone else except for kalridge and flavor who haven't really posted that much. I'll reserve reads till they get into the game.
@flavor @kalridge any update on when you can get into the game?
There... I think that's all I have to say for now, so goodnight- LCpl Jones

You say they have to fit in, that gives no reason at all for them to be active lol. Fitting in I is different for every game, combine that with everyone has different playstyles and different experience, you have actually no reason at all calling my vote a bad townie move, and then go even further and say the next person who joined the wagon is a bad scum move.- Plotinus

I hate this post from you. I can't figure out exactly why, but it's along the lines of ignoring part of what I said to make your point seem more powerful. In post 164, Lamees wrote:You frowning upon voting inactive newbies, gives inactive newbie mafias incentive to be inactive, which is contradictory to your claim of them having incentive to be active.

On page 6 of a newbie we shouldn't be pushing inactive people as scum. It's too early to even get a real look at people's playstyles and you are wanting praise lauded over you for...
As I said, activity isn't an indication of alignment, unless it is and we will know it then. If kald continued playing the way later in day 1 without another viable option, or if on day 2 he played the same way.
Pushing someone who hasn't been very active is a lazy move, it takes no thought or effort to push. It also has the added benefit for scum that if kald doesn't reply right away you take that as confirmation that he is scum! I mean shit, at this point it seems like you are engaging in a little confirmation bias.
And I can call any move I want anything I want to call it. If I wanna say a push is bad then I am going to say it. I could be wrong, and I'll admit that, but also trust that maybe, just maybe, I know what I am doing and will have a better grasp on things come later stages of the game here.
Here's my reasoning for thinking the way I am. Your push was bad. Your reasoning was bad. Your justification was bad. I can see town you making the push because there ain't much else going on. The person who voted after you, paca:
Did so because of what you said. (It's also kinda funny to point out that in post 90 you vote kald. In 93 he gets prodded, and posts in 94. You use this as evidence that he is scum, but I get push notifications when I get pms, but I dont subscribe to threads I'm in for notifications. So if he got prodded it is quite likely that he got an email telling him he'd been prodded and came into the game to post. Then you Unvote kald in 108 only to vote him again in 118, a whole 10 posts going from Wednesday night to Thursday afternoon. How dare kald not post at night when most people are sleeping. I see the scum in him now). Paca seeing your bad town push as scum is going to try and hop on that wagon as discreetly as possible. Of the two of you I hate your votes equally, but I think you are more likely town in the case and paca more likely scum. Although after seeing you further explain your vote I'm wondering if right about you.In post 119, acrimoniusalpaca wrote:Agreeing with Lamees, I feel that it is in Town's benefit to lynch silent lurking players. Anything can be considered LAMIST if you want to spin it that way. I don't see how talking to someone about their reads is LAMIST though, or was it when I talked about my read on him? I would like you to explain why you feel that way and how that idea works within the context of this game and my alignment. In post 166, Lamees wrote:

I feel the exact same way, as if my posts aren't being read properly, don't know if this is intentional from your side or not. Also I get OMGUS vibes from you. Your ego getting in the way? I question you and all of a sudden I'm scum lol. Should we all town read you then?
You want to talk about scum moves hopping onto my wagon, you mention alpaca did that, but korina did it too. No reaction from you to korina's vote? Is it because korina town read you so you're ok with his vote on kald?
Your justification of kald is also getting more and more absurd the more you try to defend. If the first prod sent and email and got a quick response, the second prod didnt send an email?
You are free to your opinion, so call the inactive wagon bad, but my opinion is: whatever it is you are doing, is worse, it's basically trying to flex and show off, even going as far as to say people are scared of you lol.
I indeed read you as scum now. Having kaldridge in late game will only benefit scum. If kaldridge is scum it makes sense for scum to defend them, if kaldridge is town, you get to waste a lynch in the more important stages of the game on them. So good, continue to defend.- xx2008

I do have a scumread on dojaj. I already voted against him, which was during RVS. I didn't change my vote, that's all.
Dojaj hasn't responded to peoples questions and posts about him. He's only dodging then by posting but not answering the question. He's done this several times now. I believe this is scum, because scum might use this way to avoid leaking information.
I don't want to scumread the inactive players just yet, because I know people may simply not have time to play as of right now, while it is still the early stages of the game. However, someone who posts only to avoid prods and doesn't help at all during the whole entire game is likely to be scum trying to avoid getting attention. It's potentially how a scum would hide throughout the game, while letting town players slowly lynch each other. If town players don't get suspicious of people who don't contribute, they're possibly letting scum hide and slowly win the game.- dojaj
