It's because people give passes to garbage play and are hard on folks that want to lynch trash play, calling it as 'policy lynches'.

yeah at some point in the last few years wanting to lynch people for being utter trash and doing nothing has somehow become more villainous and lynchworthy than actually sitting on your ass and doing nothing

Cause my team killed everyone that didn't share the opinion that me pushing for Porkens' lynch made him more likely to be town than at least the other do-nothings of the game (Nos & Kokichi & NSG)

Mod doesn't have kill rules in the rules post, so
/shrugs.
The site standard, though, is that no kill submitted = no kill.
The only times I've seen it otherwise is when there were rules in place for it, in which case the kill gets randomized among surviving town.

I didn't bother starting day 5 before going to bed last night because I was very tired and it is difficult to unlock a thread and say "nothing happened" when you are tired

northsidegal actually responded and officially made it a no kill. imo intentionally putting the town in mylo isn't the
worst
choice here but it's not the one I'd've made

skitter and shoshin are never getting lynched here, and gamma will likely be accidentally conftowned by night actions unless nsg/porkens 1v1's him
Curious which of nos/gamma is the designated mislynch in scum's minds. This should be interesting.

well at least NSG officially no-killing means she probably has a plan

Gemerald claiming his 1-shot doc and being tracked to skitter with no other claims would prob be real bad but I'd guess NSG will claim she used a doc too? And Shoshin thinking that Gemerald is gambiting scum isn't that unlikely in that case.

it does mean they probably have to dodge a doc with 5 people alive to win which is gonna be a little sketchy but the whole game is basically one mess after another so *shrug*

on one hand I think that saying 'scum should never have daykills' leads to them being borderline conf-town whenever someone gets a daykill which is dumb and players should actually attempt to use their brains and reads to decide whether or not a daykiller is town if they don't use it in an actively anti-town way like I did

on the other I figured with the team I had the best chance we had of winning the game was by abusing the daykill as much as possible in our favor which wound up mostly negating and punishing the one good play town did this game

still think it was definitely too much with a hated townie in the mix as well but I think it could be ok in a large game or with an explicit warning of *Fuck your expectations, roles and alignments were determined separately and then maybe slightly adjusted afterwards for balance* (which I think is what xyzzy was aiming at for the most part given that scum don't have fakeclaims), even if I think players should attempt to be competent enough to not make the dumb role->alignment assumptions they do by default in most games.

It's almost like daykills, by design, are a bad idea.
But, nah, scum shouldn't get *free* daykills. They should be gated in some means so that there's a balance struck between scum getting an extra kill and town only having their regular resources.
