Is cynical even active right now? I don't want to lynch someone who could just be replaced because they aren't posting. Also, could someone unvote? we want to keep him at 4/6 votes to avoid a quick mafia lynch in case he's not mafia, and he's at 5/6 right now. After all, we don't have any indication that he is mafia, just that he's only posted twice and hasn't been helpful. If he can just be replaced, I'd prefer that to lynching.

This is ludicrious. As much of a pain as it is to get replacements for minis, I'm thinking that's the best course of action for Cynical and for maybe a few other players as well. Obviously that's the mod's call, but I'm just astonished by how slow the day's been going, and I think some more active players might help.

Well... do some talking then. The bandwagon was based on the fact that you were obviously here, but not saying anything useful. Do you have ANY opinions on this game at all? Any observations, other than the fact that the two people who died last night both involved chance? And that goes for everyone else who isn't talking. It's day one, we need some thought going on.

As for me, I think we need to get cracking. I know it's been said before, but there are likely 4 bad guys, and while I'm not usually for a first day lynch, I think that we have decent odds if we assume the two role claims we have are true. I don't think we've ever had 50%-50% odds on a first day.

Also, I know this is a bit unrelated, but what sort of person would be a cop-like role? A secretary? A hacker? And what other roles would we be likely to find in this game? I haven't seen the movie in a while, so bear with me. I'm trying to think of the third guy who helps with the virus. The one with the accent. He's gotta be in here somewhere. And the girlfriend, probably.

It's very possible for you to defend yourself. Make a role claim, share your thoughts ont he game so far. You've got a low post count I'll assume you're new around here... go read some other threads. Pointless bandwagons are the norm, but both scum and non scum get out of them. One more post like that and i'll be in favor of lynching you just to get rid of deadwood and get the game going.

Hey, I'll buy that, and a side of fries. I think "strain your sanity" means that as you investigate more, your results are more likely to be inaccurate. That is, if you investigate too much, you are more likely to find indications that someone is scummy when they're actually townie. I don't know about Untrod Tripod, he seems to be posting at about the same level as bloojay and yourself. One person I would like to hear from is mikehart, who hasn't posted since the 21st, and only to randomly vote bloojay.

Yeah, I believe him, but that does put him into conflict with bunsofsteel, doesn't it? I personally never really accepted BoS' explanation, and I feel like Cynical has the more convincing role-claim. So i feel like we almost had scum with bloojay, and then his somewhat less than capable mafia chum BoS tried to cover for him. I want to force BoS into a role claim. He just said that he was a cop, but he didn't bother to try to explain how he fit into the dynamics of the game. So,

I don't want to appear fickle or indecisive, but I think I'm going to have to go with Isaac on this one, I mean, Buns of steel made very little sense back there and made a really sloppy roleclaim. Yes, most games have a cop type role. Big deal that he guessed that one.

But that's the point: he claimed that he was a cop, but didn't explain how he fit into the theme, or what character he was from office space, or anything like that. Compare that to Cynical, who also claimed to have a cop-type role, but explained how it worked within the context of the game. Also, I don't htink cynical would claim to be a cop the same day that BoS claimed to be one unless he actually was one. So we've either got two cops, or BoS is lying through his teeth. I'm leaning towards the latter.
