i'm just really frustrated because it feels like whenever i enter a game it's 50/50 for whether i actually get to play or whether someone writes a wall of text about me on the second page like they know every single one of my habits and mannerisms

because everyone in newbies is such a hardass and the game is ironically 10x harder there

Anyway, now that I've gotten a bit of a defense I'll post my thoughts:

I think this is a TvT interaction.

I don't think what bji was saying is necessarily a scumtell at all. Sure, there is an inconsistency with what clemency was saying but I think it's more a personality defined inconsistency than a scum inconsistency considering the context. I think it was a good attempt at getting us out of rvs though and it was more or less successful. The chatty opener scum point is a good point though. I can see the whole leader thing as scum 'reluctantly' taking a town leading role in the game. Not a scumtell on it's own though for sure.

I think the most that came out of this was clemency's reaction. I'm having a hard time deciding if what we're seeing is town or scum frustration but I at least believe it is genuine. The OMGUS vote seems more so to be frustrated town though. Scum would likely be more careful?

And I agree with bji. If you are town I wouldn't worry too much about this. It's early in the game and not a lot of people are talking yet. In my experience most games start out like this just to break the ice but rvs never really means too much once we really get into the game and start properly scumhunting.

I've played off the site a fair bit in forum and non-forum environments. Often there's a lot of nitpicking in rvs I find that's looking for the reaction rather than really focusing on what is being nitpicked about.

If you're town, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm sure as the game progresses reads will become more clear

More than likely T v T. I think Clemency has a play style that sometimes leads to just what happened earlier. Not an indictment, just an observation.

I always had a single game going at a time since I signed up. I must have been lucky with the queues.

Oh that was explosive. I think how Clemency handled it was genuine and townie, through the case bj presented was meh so I felt like he didn't need to be that dramatic but every player is different I guess.

Not sure how to handle Bji as his point look like they are over reaching but since it's still early in the game and it was the post that broke rvs that is acceptable. So null still.

I thought bji appeared a lot more scummy to me than Clemency
Tunneling over a single idea, so soon, appears a lot more scummy than Clemency's posting.
I must also say that I don't take what happens in RVS too seriously either. It's the time of the game when people get to know each other and when rookie scums vote their partner to distance each other
