How things have worked: when the game before a pre-designed game goes into signups, I ask that pre-designed game mod what setup size they would like to run, among those available. I don't reveal the actual setups because they're closed, and I want to limit the people who can see the actual setup to the designers and the mod. So you might be told e.g. "would you like to run a 9-player, 10-player, or 13-player setup?"

No one has specifically asked about getting a setup from a specific mod to this point, but I'm willing to allow it, since the mod who designed a setup is now public knowledge (like setup size). So I've added a bit to the section on pre-designed setups in the OP to mention that. I'm not going to advertise designers unless asked, as I imagine most mods (and particularly first-time mods) will probably not really care and in principle they should all be similarly balanced, as all of them are designed by one NRG member and reviewed by another (and ergo shouldn't have too much effect from any individual person's biases about what's balanced).
