Forgot to add that this Mafia Discussion thread has an assortment of stats that have been compiled since 2d3 became the official newbie setup. I don’t think the sample size is quite there for anything interesting to actually be statistically significant at this point."To hide a tree, use a forest" -Ninja Boy Hideo- GrandWazoo

Things will almost certainly change over time. For example, town win rates for C2 and C2 have a hilariously large gap for how similar the setups are.In post 26, GrandWazoo wrote:Thanks for the response. Yeah, 12 not 9 setups, my bad. The stats thread is intriguing; will be interesting to see if anything changes with additional data.
My question for you is: How are you intending to apply these theory discussions in a way that helps you win this game?"To hide a tree, use a forest" -Ninja Boy Hideo- Micc

I don't know atm but this is my first MS game and haven't played with this Chinese-menu setup before. Mostly just trying to get some discussion going. In post 29, Micc wrote:In post 26, GrandWazoo wrote:My question for you is: How are you intending to apply these theory discussions in a way that helps you win this game?- Alonzo

Ahh but there’s plenty of interesting things happening in this game already and discussing this game is immensely more useful than theory. In post 31, GrandWazoo wrote:

What do you think of me putting Alonzo to L-2 for no reason other than to make a wagon?
What do you think of YellowSnow’s comment about your post looking unnatural?
What do you think of Alonzo campaigning for your vote?
(Note that these are actually rhetorical whereas the question I asked in post 29 wasn’t)"To hide a tree, use a forest" -Ninja Boy Hideo- Alonzo

Don't worry thats not from you, I watch a lot of motorcycle videos out of GB for some reason and they call people muppets all the time, it kinda stuck with me. I feel better calling people that name in place of others. In post 35, Alonzo wrote:

Votes lose their power when you speak to their intentions. In post 36, GrandWazoo wrote:Could be you were trying to distract me and still are. Or maybe Alonzo's trying to get me to vote someone on his own wagon. Perhaps both are true.
I'll keep my vote on flippy until he posts something useful.

If you think someone is scum, yes.In post 40, YellowSnow wrote:@ff you don't think you should be expected to explain your votes?
If you are putting pressure on someone by voting them, does that pressure still apply when they know its a pressure vote?Show"Getting lost in the details of nothing..."

That's kinda what I said. I'm not sure I understand your attempt at making a distiction there between the two.In post 42, YellowSnow wrote:The correct answer is anything you do in the game may require explanation.
Of course our motivations are going to be important when trying to sort us, but if I gave you a line by line look I to how I am going to judge you then you have a play book on how to avoid detection.
Sometimes we need to play with our cards closer to our vests until the right time to out that shit and hang some scum.
Also please note that in the future when trying to empart sage like knowledge, maybe skip that guy with the SE next to his name, the 2013 join date, and the multiple dozens of games played on this site alone. Kthx.Show"Getting lost in the details of nothing..."

I doubt my flippy vote has much power one way or the other since mine is the only one on him, just want to see some content there. If and when he provides it, I'll reassess. It doesn't mean I'm not looking at other as well.In post 39, Formerfish wrote:

You'll have to point out what is unclear to you for me to be able to try and explain it better. In post 45, Nikk wrote:

Also, did you read the rest of my posts where I expand on that a bit and still not understand, or did you get to the first thing that hurt your head and stop there?Show"Getting lost in the details of nothing..."
