i was thinking:

night 1: mafia chooses a player to become bulletproof, gain tracker abilities for n1 and n2, and become confirmed town on d3 (the supply happens at the beginning of night 1 and they are informed of the full details)
night 2: mafia supplies a player a list of three names that must have at least one wolf in it; they cannot kill this player n2 but they do not get confirmed / bulletproof

the night 2 thing it turns out is useless unless there's one wolf left (any group of three is gtd to have a wolf in 2v3 . . . . lmoa . . . . especially when the info is given to a townie)

the invent is factional and non-targeting (so like the wolves choose a person and the role rises up out of the ground to meet them) and the roles don't know where they come from (i.e., could just be randed)

in sum:
a bulletproof n1, n2 tracker at eod1 that is confirmed as town at the end of day 2
a n1 cop at eod1 (that can't be killed until n2)
a night 3 or night 6 vig (or not) at eod2

scum know of all three of these immediately and know that every other townie will remain vt unless acted upon

i think the no-cop norm is just a blight here since i (obviously) dont dislike it in this setup but it would seem out of place

i think i may generally overestimate the strength of scum here

one slot has to be endgamed unless you can lynch it before eod2 (though scum usually have a decent idea of who that is by eod1), two tracks (when you can choose who does them each one is maybe only like 1/4 of a check), one proper check

i think that figuring out that scum sources the abilities sucks

a night 2 cop is chosen by the day 1 lynch (who is told all other roles are allocated by scum other than this one and know that you are giving a cop to someone

i have thunk about this for like 3 hours between last night and now and the only workable ideas i have come up with were that and the fact that i should call the cop "invéstigatoire"

and draw everyone a lil picture of their roles

in the current setup a day 1 scum lynch is kind of better than a day 2 one (2 tracker -> cop checks vs. 1 grabo tracker check + 1 strong track + 1 rogue cop check)

day 1 lynch: second scum has to be second towniest person out of 8 (if you give track to the 1st)
day 2 lynch: second scum has to be second towniest person out of 6 (who were already the 6 towniest)

2nd scenario has a tracker inno perhaps hovering around but also likely has a cop re-hitting tracker
