In my defense, the idea behind me trying to experiment with these N1 global protectives was highlighted by Varsoon earlier in this thread (on post-game). You sign up for a game and you are excited to play and you get whacked on N1 so you don't play at all. That sucks. In post 4695, Cerberus v666 wrote:I also didn't believe that A50 would put in another role that oculd result in a killfree N1 after hearing everyone tell him that it was a mistake in the first overkill
Like, if I could find a way for the D1 lynchee to stay in the game I would probably have implemented that too, but then in a game this large it is usually the apathetic player that gets lynched on D1.
Starting D2 I feel it's fair game and those who can't survive will not be as bitter because they at least got some of the action, but not those who get chopped on N1 (usually because they are good enough that scum fear their mere existence in the game regardless of their role).
But really, the joke was on me on that one. I couldn't stop laughing when random.org decided Toog should get this one out of all 26 slots, and it was hilariously funny it deserved a Kodak moment if it could have been documented.

Oh right.
Can mafia and tails explain the kills on us? I'll read the pts later, but we...were playing really poorly.GTK a me, currently live, this may be your only chance!

Meh, that's kind of an exception to the rule really. I replaced in as a favor with no intention of reading the entire game up to that point. My reads list was actually quite good, I just got rope a doped and it was intentional bussing through the entirety of numbers ISO. Since I hadn't done any reading, and all I had done was coast on a single ISO after a 150 page game, attempting to fight a lynch on me wasn't something I had the energy to do.In post 4694, Cerberus v666 wrote:Toog is totally someone who'll just peace out of a game with no second thoughts, as they showed me in Heroes Wanted.
I'm not the type of player who typically replaces into games since I am more of a fluid reader. I get my best reads in the moments of when they and why they are posted, which is how I more or less got a 100% scum vote accuracy this game :p. I'll be honest, I had no intention of martyring myself going into the day phase. I intended on just reading and gathering thoughts. A game this size without being able to have a more fluid thought process with votes and engagement made me go for the more passive approach, but once A50 confirmed that I wouldn't become a neutral survivor upon being modkilled, I knew that removing myself as a distraction was the best course of action.
I can understand where you are coming from in that you think I did it too early, but to play Devil's Advocate, I'm fairly certain that your weak case was about the extent of any real content against my slot that was ever going to happen, and it would eventually devolve into a Policy Lynch. I felt it prudent to nip it in the bud early. My regret is that I didn't reinforce that my final reads were actually of fairly high confidence due to my style of play and not just some random thoughts I put down.- Toogeloo

You should look up Hypnotist Mafia on my wiki. It had a Night 0 in which the mafia team killed MagnaOfIllusion before the game even started. Talk about really getting your hopes up only to have them squashed. In post 4778, Almost50 wrote:In my defense, the idea behind me trying to experiment with these N1 global protectives was highlighted by Varsoon earlier in this thread (on post-game). (Though just between you and me, I like watching the RR hydra playing, and I hate whoever invented Discord because they now use it more often and I don't get their thoughts in real time)
It would also be good if they were playing separately. I think I may design a game with no hydras and invite them both to it to see them pitting wits against each other (Though knowing my luck, random.org will probably put them both in the same PT, whether it be a Masonry or the Scum PT)

Lol DrewVa I spent the majority of last night spiraling into mental instability and crying on Cerb at 1 in the morning because of the game. I’m the last person you want as a motivational speaker. In post 4771, DrewVa wrote:

Mmm... I don’t like how Nancy attacked you but also she’s sensitive and you dug so can’t blame her.

mhm
My online persona is identical to how I am
just not in mafia
idk, mafia is weird
:-/
From our discord a bit ago.
And yes, I did get her permission to post that.
In post game discussions I'm a lot less accepting of people not accepting criticism than I am in life in general, and I'm a lot less..nice, I suppose. Feel free to look around the site at me posting in other contexts if you actually want to get a view of how I am.
For the record, it’s not the loss or win, it’s the ability to play that gets to me. I’m surrounded by very smart people and I am the pathos person of the group, not the logos. It gets to me is all.
But Cerb stop being a butt and acknowledge that Nancy and DVa did very well, especially after the extraordinarily long discussion of name blaming between you two that took forever to iso through. Nancy is no diubtedly going to try and get better, just like you will as I know you.
Also FL, you deserve that nomination. If you’re able to make a player get yelled at for shouting at her computer about how she doesn’t understand what the fuck you’re doing but you’re somehow town, you’re doing something right.- Almost50

In other words, you were wide open to be guiltied by ANYONE starting N2, and be killed by anyone starting N3.

Haha, thanks, Amzela. I think...
I thought you played well, and were pretty townie. I just had to lynch someone.
Also, I too stressed on this game, don’t you worry. You can see me in the last few pages of the mafia thread. Almost had to check up on me at the beginning of the final day. Twilight for the day we lynched Tails, I was spamming that thread so hard.CHECK OUT MY HOW TO PLAY AS SCUM GUIDE Maybe it'll help you catch me
