I am fairly confident that the worst has attempted to throw off a read by firebringer using what is referred to as a chainsaw method. Instead of defending his play, he has attacked his accuser's play. I still do not believe that a scum v. scum can be analogous where a 1v1 is involved with you.

Elements of this are probably fairly reasonable but literally the last time I saw him as scum he came out the gates swinging at a scumbuddy to manipulate the gamestate into a massive annoying 1v1

I'm kind of surprised it took this long for an Adel scumread to start appearing, the entrance to the game in of itself was scummy

If you think this phase is unimportant you probably also think

people who form reads out of rvs are stupid

which is automatically a playstyle clash. this phase is 100% relevant and I don't see any reason not to take it seriously.

100% agreed with what you linked. There were so many games where I caught scum on D1 only to have my read changed later on. Always reread D1 after flips.

Fundamentally we need 4 people that are absolutely locktown, because scum will kill one of our top two pairings. Then we need a pairing that will accept that the top 2 pairing truly is locktown so that one of them will reliably lynch themselves in 4-way. If we can do that we should win.

Also this setup got rid of the Innocent Child, and scum were already kind of doing OK in the dances, so I want to say this game is probably already 55% scumfavored to 45% townfavored so if it's a loss it's all G
