In post 1063, Darkwing Duck wrote:I'm kinda just at the point that I feel it's a foregone conclusion that RedTea won't bother to dance even if we ask, and if Aronis, RedTea, and Kokichi really is a trinity of obstinate, lazy town, then I'm pretty okay writing this game off as a loss. Marathon weekend is here and maybe I can actually get a player list that wants to play the game somewhere in there.

hmm. i kinda feel like this is from a townie tbh
I liked this post for town.
Am I pocketed, Slaxx? Because so far 99% of your read on McQueen seems to come from PT interactions, whereas so far this game he has:
a)danced with you for stupid reasons
b)thrown a dance on a townread in mylo
c)presented the only counter-wagon the day redtea was getting lynched
Like, I have seen town McQueen, and he is not THIS AWFUL at mechanics. Fucking up TWO dances I *choose to believe* is outside his townrange. I do feel like I am sometimes wrong when I say things like this, but he has been incredibly lurky, he put a naked vote on us to "start conversation" and then proceeded to say nothing interesting, and then claimed a bunch of nonsense about his role and voted us again in mylo.
Anyway, you still have a chance of convincing Mallard, but this head would be too disappointed in this being town McQueen to believe he is town before seeing a flip.

Where have you seen me as town, if you don't mind me asking?
It's a shame, Eragon.
You shoulda accepted mcqueen's dance offer--that way, the town would've been responsible for the death of literally every single one of their PRs!
Once in the game, you may reject an offer to dance, without suffering the consequences of the ensuing duel (gladiate). The player who offered the dance may not offer you a dance again that day phase (however, other players may still do so). You activate this power by posting with your reject, in bold, "
I'm too clumsy
".
However, if you use this ability, you will permanently lose access to your Fumbling ability.
ACTIVATED POWERS (NIGHT):
Fumbling:
During the night, you may target a player. Should your action succeed, you will cause any action your target takes to fail for that night phase.
On demand, you may request a fakeclaim for any role should you be dissatisfied with your mod-provided safeclaim. Be warned I cannot guarantee safety of fakeclaims generated this way.

Fumbling:
During the night, you may target a player. Should your action succeed, you will cause any action your target takes to fail for that night phase.
During the night, you may target two players who do not have a current dance partner. (You must always target two different players; Duels do not count as having had a dance partner, i.e., you can only target those who have not paired up.) Should your action succeed, all actions targeting one of the players will now target both for that night. This does not cause the players to count as paired up.
At the end of the night, your targets will be informed: "You were matchmade with playername. All actions targeting one of you targeted both last night. You were
not
classified as being paired up."
At the end of the night, you will be informed if this action failed or succeeded.
If you have successfully used "Get A Room" at least once in the game, you MAY name yourself as one of the two target players.
Twice in the game, during the night, you may target a player who has never had a dance partner in the game. (Duels do not count as having had a dance partner, i.e., you can only target those who have not paired up.) Should your action succeed, you will attempt to kill the targeted player.
On demand, you may request a fakeclaim for any role should you be dissatisfied with your mod-provided safeclaim. Be warned I cannot guarantee safety of fakeclaims generated this way.
Once in the game, you may permanently shut down any dance private topic of your choice. The players will be notified "the dancemaster deems you incompatible". This will take effect instantaneously. If you use this power, the players in question may never again partner (pair up) with one another or duel one another.
You may not self-target.
If you use this power during the day on a couple that is currently partnered (paired up), there is an extra consequence. You will nullify their partnership, disabling their status as lovers. However, it will be publicly declared their relationship has been broken, and that they are valid partners for dances.
Regardless of circumstances, you may not use this power on two individuals locked in a duel (gladiate).
PASSIVE POWERS:
Record-keeper:
You have access to this private dancemaster PT, containing a master list of all dance private topics in the game. You may post in that topic at will; it is your own personal private topic; use it however you see fit.
Overseer:
You have access to every dance private topic in the game, able to read their contents at will. However, you may only post in dance topics where you are a dance partner.

your
existence. Should you die, this information will not flip with you.
If you instead decide there's no harm in claiming full town Dancemaster (it is your prerogative as you are well aware this will be counterclaimed!), the formatting of that role PM is also available at the bottom of your role PM. (This safeclaim will be partially redacted from your flip should you die.)
Fakeclaim:
On demand, you may request a fakeclaim for any role should you be dissatisfied with your mod-provided safeclaim. Be warned I cannot guarantee safety of fakeclaims generated this way.

You start the game lacking access to this ability.
You may only use this power when the town dancemaster has died, and you become the new dancemaster. You may use this power even if the dancemaster already used it.

Once in the game, you may force a player you offer to dance with to reject it, initiating a duel (gladiate) between you two. You activate this power by posting with your dance offer, "
in a duel
".
Note that the rules about valid dance offers still apply. (You may not target someone with this ability when they have offered to dance with someone that day phase, have accepted a dance with someone that day phase, or a duel has been initiated that day phase; you may not target someone with this ability when you have had someone offer to dance with you that day phase regardless of your answer.)

Eternal Bond
: Once in the game, you may cause your partnership with your dance partner to be permanent. You will retain your status as lovers for the rest of the game, and any abilities which interact with partners will treat you two as partnered (paired up). This carries over into following day phases; you and your eternal bond target will be invalid dance targets, due to your permanent partner.
You activate this power by posting with your dance offer, "
Forever
".
Note that Eternal Bond will only work if your would-be partner accepts the offer, initiating a pair up.
If your offer is rejected, you will permanently take one less vote to lynch, and a duel (gladiate) will be initiated like any other reject.
As you may only use this power once, if your would-be partner rejects the offer, this ability is lost forever.
If you use this power, you may not use your "Charmer" ability. By using Eternal Bond, you permanently disable Charmer.

The mafia fill you with lead, and now you are dead.
Though you do your best to dodge and weave the dance of blades, your lack of experience eventually causes you to stumble and fall, inevitably resulting in your impalement.
I think if town used it correctly though it could be townsided. I read your post in the spoilers thread and agreed with basically all of what you were saying.
If town had been organized, it could have gotten two lynches per day and two pro-town NKs. I even tried to sell that strategy in the thread to try to get a hold of the reins as town leader but either people didn’t trust me or didn’t like the concept of turning it into double day.
Alright, unless I missed any, all private topics should now be public. (Incidentally, looking, over half a dozen, I missed which should've been closed but were left open. Ah well.)
As someone who still struggles to keep a game theme cohesive, I have to say the mechanics and the roles around them were just excellent and well implemented.
