NON-FLAVORED SETUP INFORMATION:


You are fully informed of the setup.

There are 3 mafia and 10 vanilla townies.

The first two night phases will be skipped. At the beginning of the game, town will be informed that "Until further notice, there will be no night phases."

Whenever a member of the mafia is lynched Day 1 or Day 2, you must confirm 5 living players to be aligned with the town. This will result in your loss if Mafia is lynched both Day 1 and Day 2.



The game will change starting from Day 3. At this point, you will begin "escaping". Each night, in addition to a mandatory kill, one of you must choose to "escape", and will exit the game being revealed to be Mafia. However, if just one of you is lynched, the Mafia loses.

You win when all living members of the Mafia escape.


If no Mafia were lynched Day 1 or Day 2, one member of the mafia will escape immediately following the end of Day 2.

The town will become similarly fully informed of the setup starting at the beginning of Day 3.



Succinctly: this game is 3:10 nightless for the first two Day phases, after which it transitions into Extradition Mafia. Whenever scum is lynched during the first two Day phases, you must confirm 5 living players to be town. If no scum is lynched during the first two Day phases, a member of the Mafia will escape immediately following the end of the second Day phase.

This is weird because WI think we get a lot more town cred for bussing, but only if we make it to day 3 when they realize...

@mod: will town be informed that we have always known what they know, should we make it alive to day 3?

Yes, town will be informed of the full setup. This includes the fact that scum were informed of the setup from the beginning.

Also, the playerlist is in post 0 in the game thread.

conftowning 5 townies seems a rather large price to pay for a hard-bus, on first glance, but it makes 'all living members escape' way easier if one of us is dead.
probably wont get increased towncred, might get decreased rate?

who wants to be the last man to leave on day 6/5?

Just played with tris as a survivor (she was maf) might help in looking town to her
.
If Brigitte is who I think she is, she might be good at reading me.

Skitter has a good rep, but haven't played with her.

actually, no. We get an escapee night 2 if no scum gets lynched before that, but we don't if one does.
so day 3 will be 2vs8 if no scum is lynched 2vs9 if one does, and day 4 will always be the last day.

2vs9 is still probs better for us, cause more bodies to hide among, but not hugely better.

ya, my head is definitely not working right now.
2vs9 would have 4 confirmed, so definitely worse for us.

I assume confirmed town can still be nightkilled and the reveals happen before the nightkill?

Any interesting ideas of things we might want to fakeclaim if we get run up? I think nsg said the game contains 'interesting mechanics' somewhere.

As far as I can see fakeclaiming on day 2 is pretty low-cost way to avoid a lynch as the person who does it can then just escape the game on night 2.
And we know there isn't gonna be a counterclaim, so the only way to catch it would be by setup-spec.

Since there won't be a night 1, will there still be a break and a threadlock where it would otherwise be?

Is there a point in having claims? Everyone is vanilla.

Hm.
Claiming seems particularly risky in this setup, but it has a much higher chance of paying off. Only one person can claim a PR and that person has to be the one to escape end of day 2 otherwise they will be lynched on day three when everyone realizes that everyone is vanilla

Is day cop a thing? We could say day cop - that pretty much guarantees that days one and two none of us will die, because we use the PR claim to prevent one of us from being lynched and then guilty one of the members of town on day 2

I pretty much always assume daycop claims to be faked. It's got really low believability normally.

, but never played in a nightless, so.

And there's not gonna be night 1 so can't really fake a guilty on day 2,I don't think.
Informed might work, but dunno what one would claim to be informed about, that would get in the way of getting lynched..

Everything I'm coming up with sounds really far-fetched, like 'gain info on day 3' or 'night is skipped as long as I'm alive' or 'odd-day innocent child'

Maybe we can claim something with night actions and rely on the phrasing of "Until further notice" to give it some believability, despite the first 2 days looking like a nightless?

Probably should only claim in a emergency, since we don't wanna limit our options for who leaves on dusk2, and even then only on day 2.
Still would be nice to have the option, if we can come up with something that sounds right.

@flubber It doesn't need to hold water after townies gain setup-info, since the claimed person will have left by the time they get that info.

I see what you're saying but honestly I think we only really use claims as a last minute resort anyways just to keep us alive until day 2.

The claim doesn't have to be remarkably believable, just enough to get town lynched two days in a row.

I honestly think this is a particularly hard setup to play for us, because if we get lynched day 1 or 2, the game gets significantly harder, and if we get lynched day 3 or 4 (maybe even five?) we lose. In addition to all of this, contrary to typical mafia games, even if we play perfectly, town will know our alignments as we leave, which means they will be able to search for associatives starting day 3 at the very latest.

Wait there will be no day five. We either lose at the end of day 2, 3, or 4, or we win on day 4.

Confirmed town can still be nightkilled.

Town will never be revealed as confirmed town on the same night that a nightkill is made.

Not by default. I will only lock the thread during the first two days if scum is lynched so that you may decide which townies to confirm. I would request that you make this process expedient.
