Why do you vote so many times if it makes no difference? Did a wrackspurt make your head go fuzzy, or do you have voting superpowers, that you will not wish to tell us about, and probably wouldn't use this early in the game?
In post 349, davesaz wrote:Sure, here's what I have, or at least what I can remember. I'm not very good with early reads so it's all pretty weak.

Scumreads on Gamma, Ausuka, Vedith, but they seem unlikely to be aligned.

I agree with Sabrina about postcount being NAI. Claiming "lock town" from being top poster is a big turn off for me. Your posting does seem towny in places though.

Wilky seems towny. Elsa seems to like playing with matches but it's NAI given her history. I appreciate Clemency being more chill with posting but wonder what prompted that change, wanna keep an eye on him.

Wisdom is engimatic but that's style not alignment. Doubt I'll be able to get a good read there until later.
And Starwing invisible.
I think I agree with Dave when it comes to DoubtingThomas. I don't know if anyone was looking, but I spoke of the locktown/top poster correlation. The number of posts ought not be indicative, yet Thomas does have other town indicators.

No, it means that I think one or more of those scumreads is likely to be wrong but I don't know yet which one(s).

It's possible they are all wrong.
Early in the game the best indicator of scum is "not town", which for me is people who are not doing anything to determine alignments.
Later in the game, other indicators become valid, like actions which try to manipulate people. (Not saying this
can't
happen early, but in my experience it's less likely.
Over the span of 2018 into 2019 I've noticed a tendency that the people I identify as not scumhunting tend to be scum > rand. So I'm willing to go on that as an early indicator.

On this indicator overnight:
Sabrina -> more scummy
Starwing -> a little more towny (BTW not being listed on my reads post doesn't mean invisible, it just means I hadn't formed an opinion yet)
Wilky -> +town by attitude, = by content

On Elsa Jay -- Would be scum by the early game metric, but there is a meta read that she tends to do randomly outlandish things. By that meta read she's trying to do something, but it's hard to pin down exactly what.

Oh, and don't remember if I've specifically mentioned this, but Dunnstral gets town points for appearing to try to sort. Meta on him for me is to overlook incorrectness and focus more on what he's trying to accomplish.

is my vote on light good? Lets all make 2 competing wagons. Mine's better, go!

VOTE: light ganski

This is a really weird progression. Also doesn't seem to be game solving, more like just commenting, which gives scumpoints on both metrics I pointed out earlier.
I'm getting too many scumreads. The game has too little content.

All the talk about throry instead of action. we're discussing the finer poiblnts of theory not playing mafia.

I could throw out some formulae to produce a vote, but even in the best of situations I could be voting w/a scum read on d1.

I also think that the responses were about theory, and thus a ritualized dance that is also mostly nai

good commentary. can you give me a read now tho?
i was prodded and had to post something. i've already given plenty of reads up to this point and i don't think this is a genuine angle

to those asking about my line about the gamma wagon; it generally seems like it would be a good idea to build on what we have, even if people are just pretending to actually believe it, then build a wagon that explicitly is not on a scumread because i think the first one would cause more pressure and cause the game to get started a lot faster. if there's a case on gamma that i missed i'd be wrong but i don't think there is one.

@enigma; those players are holding back in terms of content; it's certainly possible some of you are busy irl but we can't just assume that as an excuse for giving no content, i think.
