saudade is scummy af. your questions were after you were done catching up, but indicated that you hadn't actually read the game, and that's also scummy.

Refusal to get caught up is not In itself scummy. Is it optimal play, no. But not scummy imo.

For what it’s worth, I tend to come into games with the perception that if something sounds like a grand master plan that scum cooked up, I tend to believe it not the case. RC and Shoshin scum theatering it up kinda falls into that world a bit for me.
