The worst is town.

You're letting your paranoia eat you, imo.

I was just on a game where I got pocketed by the worst and I expected him to act very differently if he's scum here again.

this is 100% exactly how i read what you said but i'll give you the benefit
In post 570, u r a person 2 wrote:I'm saying that you had an unexplained vote that you didn't interact with or about
on a scumread, yes. you don't seem to be giving me an ounce of benefit of the doubt on this.
In post 570, u r a person 2 wrote:And when I gave a scum read on him you said "i don't town read him, so i guess i don't hate it" implying in it's most charitable interpretation that you did not have a strong scum read on him, but more realistically that you weren't scum reading him
you're using an holistic meta tell which i don't give a shit about
i think you're town
we have similar POEs so i don't mind that we reached them in different ways
this is an applied read from your perspective and is either bad faith or confbias and i need you to step back and recognise that you're talking shit
In post 570, u r a person 2 wrote:and you were going to change votes to him, but you didn't even know where you were voting so you couldn't have been that mentally engaged with that scum read
i went to vote my strongest scumread and realised i was already voting him
implying this is anything more than it is is also bad faith or confbias
In post 570, u r a person 2 wrote:And you have to get town reads from other people as scum, too, so like I don't see why you would be more likely to enthusiastically endorse it

and I really don't like how you're debating in bad faith here. sorry you rolled scum =/
first line i don't understand

i don't think i'm arguing in bad faith at all. i'm fucking desperate to get through to you for a second and all you're doing is putting up walls.

you came to an (incorrect) conclusion before this debate took off, and you absolutely will not see reason or budge or operate under the assumption that JUST MAYBE you're a tiny bit confbiased.

if that isn't the definition of arguing in bad faith, i very much don't know what is.

get your vote somewhere where it will do something meaningful. come back and read this with an open mind. i refuse to believe you actually think it's sensible to throw a rhetoric-loaded nonsensical argument at me <48 hours before end of day, refuse to listen to reason on it, and then try and actually get me lynched. which means either you're positioning me for a mislynch later, or you're not thinking.

choice is yours. i'm always here to talk further, i just need you to come from a place which isn't unabashed rigidity.

i think town!you actually has enough respect for me to clear his head and come back and try to talk in MUTUAL good faith.

need you to stop indignantly positioning that i must be scum and boldly arguing FOR without considering any point against
in turn if you can throw me collected sensible reasons you think i'm scum, i'll talk through them

but ftlog man i need you to let some of this get through to you

You say I'm being rigid and conf-biased, and maybe I'm wrong. I'll read back through later, but I still want everyone's thoughts.

But I don't think that's really fair and I don't like how you're painting this as a tunnel and having no merit when I think there's a lot here and I have been actively trying to sort you. Even going so far as to bring up new reasons to town you in the middle of our back and forth

so me forgetting to have a read on my newbie scumbuddy who was #goodposting and brave then leaning on you (wildcard factor) to point me in the right direction would be both derp-positioning my own partner and highly associative which are both things i think i'm smart enough not to do randomly half way through d1 with you on the prowl

i'm going to focus on re-weighting my reads tomorrow bc i'm aware i'm more inclined than i should be to reactively townread #576
also i feel like i should be coming out of this argument feeling like it was a town v. town situation but i feel slimy. if that had come from a slot i didn't already townread i'd powerlynch it.

just for onlookers/myself tomorrow: i accept that these kinds of highly passionate arguments are slightly more random than likely to come from town, and are difficult to fake as scum.
that being said the last time i've seen someone be so arrogantly indignant in me being scum was mastina positioning me as scum in mystery box of silver and she was indeed powerdriving a scum agenda

the town equivalent of a very strong scumread on me in that game would be e.g. nibbui/skitter30, who still talked through things with me and attempted to solve the game with me. i correctly called both of them as town despite being extremely frustrated with the way they were reading me incorrectly. because they showed a semblance of open-mindedness and willingness to solve the game around me.

so i feel further from calling this town v town than i did yesterday and will reevaluate the urap read asap to see whether i'm questioning it too early or whether he's actually pushing a scum agenda with this

you're shooting down your reasons to consider townreading me

80-85% confidence on a good scum player is >>>>rand
like imo unrealistically above rand given the integrity of the back-and-forth we just had

that's one anti-mastina point for you actually. if she were in your shoes here she'd be saying
100% accuracy

Well I guess I'm honored to be compared to mastina, but literally the only partner that this push makes sense for me to make with is you, so like I don't see how you're going to scum read me here, and I really don't think you scum read me here as town =/

i don't know that i do scumread you
i'm just stuck in a vacuum of frustration and a kind of repulsion at being incorrectly accused

which is why i laid out what i'm concerned about as calmly as possible in #580-581 and as i mentioned, will work through whether i think that was t/t tomorrow

at an oog level i really appreciate that we kept that to two pages and got frustrated at each other's arguments rather than getting toxic btw
a good two-way passionate argument is good for the soul
(not so much for the blood pressure)

I started the below after seeing uraps vote on tw, before where he asked for the boards thoughts.

Nah mate. Not today. No way no how. I see your points, but I think it’s paranoia. I’ve only played w the duck once in a game where they sides D1 iirc, so I can’t speak with confidence or the equivalent of your own experience, but I’m comfortable with how he has approached the day. I haven’t gotten pings at all.

I think you are attributing way too much to your Denmon comment and not enough to legit cold feet in Godmid. I didn’t like the L-1 wall or the “not Pr” rather than vt claim, but a second reading made ducks reaction more plausible to me.

With 9 alive, it takes 5 votes to lynch.

Day 1 ends in (expired on 2019-04-24 20:30:00)
The only movement from this is CeeJay taking Shosins vote and moving it to Godmid, as best I can tell.

So it’s 3-3, and I have the tie breaking vote. I’ll read both again and give my choice.
