It's more the absence of towniness while not quite being a lurker in combination with having multiple votes on people I townread throughout the game, not the joke in and of itself.

I understand why you might scumread me for other things; I was just taking issue with the idea that my "push" on skitter was scummy.

But I do think playing off an RVS vote as a joke is slightly more likely to come from scum than town, yeah.

Yeah this is one of the reads I wanted to discuss more in the PT, but personally I kinda liked the way he played RVS and his interactions with relly leaving RVS. Although he wasn't townreading you yet, I felt kinda on the same page as him around the 400s. He has been kinda quiet lately, but I still like him for town moreso than several other slots.

If you were town I would expect you to play RVS in a way that generates more information and less wifom. Like that you seem to be kinda trying to totally write off your RVS vote is precisely why I don't like the way you played RVS. I know some people think RVS is useless or whatever but personally I think it's one of the most informative parts of the game.

Oh, I thought you were saying that me calling it a joke now was scummy. Even so, I DID continue with the joke in 85; it wasn't until March asked me if it was a joke that I said so in 87.

I would actually also like to know what you don't like about my vote for RCE.

Actually, I don't really have much more to say.

I don't agree that 432 is weak, you say "I'll say more in a bit" but then your next post is all in response to pers and then you just accept you don't have more to say. There's a certain scum player that I have seen do a similar sort of thing when joining a wagon, I don't think you're an alt of them but it did strike me as the type of thing scum says when they join a wagon, realize they don't be able to write a townie-sounding case on the wagon they joined, and then decide that they won't get a lot of backlash for basically performing the art of saying nothing.

Like again, town I think would want to generate more interesting discussion surrounding the vote, but you seem more interested in just kind of giving the impression that you're thinking of the game rather than actually thinking about the game or actively solving

I know I can't talk on that front having given this game almost no thought in the last week while I was out of town but that's where I'm at skimming things now

It makes sense that someone would scumread that. I expected someone would.

What was going through my head at the time was: I was planning to place a vote on RCE after said those things to Percy, but then I saw skitter asking me to join the wagon, so I did right then while saying I would say more. But, I found when I came back to that, I didn't have much to add.

Irrelephant — you were one of the four people who commented on my post, and subsequently, one of the people I'm going to have on my radar. I'm far more defensive on this than I should be but when one-third of the game is scumreading me for my intro post I have to wonder what exactly is up with it that makes it so off. Please elaborate.

why does this make you think there's scum in the group of players who didn't like your intro post?

i might have missed you already talking about this, but that sort of post is (historically) one that could come from scum and could be poked at at the beginning of the game. and by that i mean commenting on the speed of the game like that.
the fact that it's this many players should tell you it's NAI, unless you think scum as a whole was going after it.

I’m perfectly willing to overlook one or two people going “eh I don’t teally like this entrance” after the fact, but when four people felt the need to chime in on one post it gives off a major LAMIST vibe (“yeah I totally scumread that post too, fellow townies!”) Especially when it’s hundreds of posts later when some people have completely forgotten about it.

Perhaps I should revise to say that I specifically read the latest few players who jumped on the “clarity’s intro is scummy” wagon.
