Don't these two lines of logic contradict each other? If, in the second scenario, it softconfirms the jailkeepers as town, then wouldn't scum benefit from having their jailkeeper be assumed to be town in the first scenario?

Agree to disagree. In the long run I only brought it up to explain why I lightly townread that post from Smile. It's not a strong point in any direction, as even if I'm right about its effect, scum could still write it. It just seemed lightly towny to me

I lowkey don't believe in casing somebody because any post can be interpreted towny or scummy, so analysis on quotes with no context is worthless. Tone and mechanical solves are more of my forte.

Anyhow.

Note that insomnia doesn't actually talk about how he views a lot of the players. Even something like, "I have no thoughts on [x]", it shows that the person is trying to look at all players simutaneously, more of a "circle to dot" approach, I guess. This is more likely to come from town who have little to no information about the players
Instead what insomnia does this game is, 1. "We should vote Smile/Percival, and here is why" 2. "Hey who can read [x]" (564, 669)
This is more of less a "dot to circle" approach. His sights are aimed at certain players with the goals of lynching them, without looking at other players, which is like I said, the opposite of a town approach.

I kinda don't like Percy's posting either. They just blend in, a lot. Usually not a good sign, but maybe it will be easier to read Percy after insomnia flips or something

Skitter is an auto town read for me until I get fucked by the flip. To respond to the bolded, when skitter confronted you, you said you're pretty good at town reading her, and having her at a null is weird to me, with the plan and everything.

As for the hydra, I'll point the posts that I don't like and maybe they can defended themselves / explain their reads because they're scattered as hell

The first two posts actually showed quite a healthy dose of paranoia about his skitter town read
a mere 3 hours after the 2nd post, now "Skitter is an auto town read". That paranoia never really existed, did it? I think this is just putting on a show.

You and tris better start proving it, even if you are town, claiming it doesn’t excuse you from game solving.

Well, you should get into detail with every single one of them, but the point was that if a person’s accusing someone that’s not a consensus and without explaining the scum read in any way, it’s likely people will just ignore you or you even light end up suspicious for pushing that person if you don’t have a case.

Town is paranoid of skitter, though (been experiencing it on and off all game)
so unless you're partnered with her this comes across pretty towny to me

scum tend to townread me pretty strongly; they don't try to push me and i'm basically always pretty wary of people who unreservedly townread me w/o the read wavering much because i find that tends to come from scum

i actually don't know offhand which alignment is more likely to be paranoid; i need to think about it a bit
