there's a difference between somebody struggling to get into the game and somebody lowposting because they're underperforming
dp doesnt give me the sense that its the former - he was like "feels like the game is stalling" but while he was around he was commenting on a few things

His ISO just reads bad and like he's trying to earn points instead of solving.
I've seen "dejected"/"D1 is boring hurry up and end it" play from town before, but something tells me that
-he should know better
-he's doing it for LAMIST points
-he's just trying to stir stuff up for the sake of causing discord up in here
So I like my vote where it is (as I can't summon others here) and he hasn't danced enough for me
my position is exact opposite of "D1 is boring let's hurry and end it" — rather i'm accusing yall of that
i think your DP and GE wagons along with the idea that there's not enough information in the thread to build any strong reads reflect defeatism about what D1 can do

Hm. I'm not reading "hurry up and end it" from him at all. Especially due to his comments about wasting early energy on lynching lurkers and the "overwhelming amount of real content" to sift through. (p-edit: and see psyche's last post)
I will say though, that the bit about town defaulting to lynching lurkers rubs me the wrong way. It's not just him--there's currently a sitewide meta that discourages pursuing lurkers, and it's making lurking a viable strategy again--but since he was talking about potentially going after active lurkers earlier, the comment is a bit disingenuous. He's in my null pile right now.

Where have we advocated for hurrying and ending D1? Just because wagons are created doesn't mean that we're advocating it results in a lynch. It generates content to go off of. I think the fact that you think there is enough content to go off of is premature, especially for later day phases.
Like...in my view I can see you as relic town or scum. I'm leaning relic town.
PP, he's referring to Vork's 507. Nobody is advocating hurrying and ending anything, but Vork is trying to imply that Psyche is, which I think is pretty clearly false.
I'm also going to anticipate a negative reaction to the term "relic town" and clarify that it simply means unfamiliar with the newer site meta which from a quick ISO scan I believe is a group that Psyche falls in.
active lurking is posting a lot without apparent effort to contribute anything toward the goal of finding/lynching scum; that conflict is often alignment-indicative because while the repeated posting suggests engagement with the game, a lack of effort to scumhunt suggests that such engagement isn't driven by an interest in finding/killing scum. Only good explanations I can think of for that are VIs and scum.
it's qualitatively distinct from unqualified lurking because no conflict like this really happens — a guy who isn't engaged in the game at all can be disengaged for any reason. It's NAI on its own.
honestly it's kind of weird to have to explain this. Before this post, did you not know what active lurking was?

its not that you've advocated hurrying and ending D1 (i was just using that other guy's words) but rather that you're not really treating D1 like it's worth anything if you're just spending it voteprodding inactives

feels like yall are treating 20 pages of content like the backend of rvs
it's crazy and for at least one of you who should know better (PP) i think it's deliberate

could you lodge complaints at specific people? the only person you're really engaging with is pp who you've decided is dishonest
i don't really see this criticism at all and if i did i dont see how it's actionable for anyone

@Psyche: Not sure if you're talking to me, but yes I understand what active lurking is and was trying to say that it has recently become a viable strategy again. Hence my vote on LUV. Do you disagree with that assessment?
if ur town and just spend the rest of the Day sheeping weaksauce until the town mislynches some nobody on page 40 im gonna shame you either on D2 or in the postgame
