I'd 100% vengeful a mason to get hard confirm elsa and put someone who actually knows how to play effective mafia in a position of power. I'd argue that it's literally the most pro-town thing that I could do. So please, help me help town.

Yeah the problem with that is multiple-fold.
1: Vengekills are a shot at hitting scum. By deliberately aiming at town, you're deliberately avoiding playing to your wincon.
2: Vengekills resolve before the night phase. Guess what happens once one mason is vengekilled? You go into night. Guess what the mafia have? A nightkill. End result? Both masons dead before the end of the night. Don't fucking think this game wouldn't have a fucking strongman, because Krazy absolutely gives scum a role like that every single game, pretty much.
3: The mason claim is self-resolving. Scum literally

let us live forever, so what will they do?

Without a vengekill.
Kill us.

The timing of me pulling the trigger might not have been optimal.
I stand by the decision of pulling the trigger being the right one.
Because while I was nowhere near a lynch.
This was absolutely a situation where claiming gave an edge I otherwise wouldn't have had.
