Good reasons to make it, more or less. I'm kinda getting tired (good god my eyes are shaking I need a nap) so I'm kinda losing coherency here so I kinda can't explain it properly to lay out my thought process but again, I will defend the call. Maybe it wasn't necessary, sure, but it was still I think something overall advantageous. Even if not optimal, still USEFUL, if that makes sense.

A town Cheeky picking up on my hints would've known to back off.
A town Cheeky having failed to see my hints would've had a reaction which was more fluid and organic; Cheeky's reaction was very stilted, artificial, and looked preplanned, with a lack of panic attached to it. There was the backtracking, sure, but it was backtracking that was inevitable.
I know I'm not explaining this well, I'm half asleep right now and need to do a proper explanation when I wake up.

Yes--check the ban announcement thread and somewhere in there you'll find a ban where a vig vigged an ic. I don't remember who, or when, this happened, but it definitely is a thing which you can find.
