I could certainly see a Voted and Teacher team, as if it was either of the other two they would have been bussing pretty early on in the game, but I don't have a strong read on any of the SEs yet so I'm not confident on that. Who do you think is in the mafia team right now?

, joke hammer so they won't lynch me for trying to hammer sameone and pretending I though I am putting him in L-1. I have experience from Town of Salem that making jokes whisout samewhat indicating there are jokes is enough to get me lynched - hence the need of "defence".


Not wanting to lynch SEs and active/ eperienced players is my meta. NAI.

(1) I don't see how you can reasonably think anyone would (a) think that you were legitimately hammering someone, especially when you'd already voted and people were making jokes about L-X (or not, as I still think is probably in the case of Eggs). Also, (b) that was literally like page 2 of this thread. You were not in any meaningful danger of being lynched, so why were you concerned? Nav seemed much more natural to me, as he knew that his wagon wasn't going anywhere at that point. The fact that you're claiming you were worried about an actual case being built up around you at that point is way more indicative of scum than town to me.

(2) Saying it's your meta doesn't just give you a free pass. You used the same logic in the game you linked where you were town which you *checks notes* lost. So unless you feel like providing an actual refutation of why your logic here is good (despite leading you to a lost game where you didn't want to lynch SEs and then *checks notes again* you lost as both SEs were mafia) then you absolutely don't get a free pass.

(3) I also notice that you didn't even try to refute my point about how terrible the logic is behind active scum being better than lurky town.

Oh, and I think your meta overall also seems to be closer to your scum game than to your town game.

(1) (a) he could think that I was thinking that I am hammering him - that I forgot about my previous vote. (b) I was not in danger of being lynched/ becoming suspectious for whatever I would post in page 3?

(2) I give free pass to active/ experienced people only day 1. The day 1 lynch is not perfect; it has huge chance of lynching town. You can either:
D1 lynch scummier, good scum hunter
D2 lynch slighty less scummy inactive townie

or

D1 lynch slighty less scummy inactive townie
D2 lynch scummier, good scum hunter which can at least before getting lynched give you same reads if town

I expect SEs to be (statistically) better scummy hunters than newbies.

(3) Active scum can slip. Have fun town reading unresponsive, lurking player.

The stagnant gamestate solidified my townreads on cinnamon and Menalque, who could both choose to do less work than they’re doing and would probably get away with it

I'm not worried. From what I understand, Elephant's reason for scum reading me is that I ignored the 3 vote wagon on him on page 1. I think that's a fair reason for him to want to vote me. I hadn't even read the thing when I voted but he can't know that.. The "joke" pile on from Eggs is the thing that pinged me the most but I still consider this RVS so not gonna read a lot into it.

I could townread the “I understand why I’m scumread” if the rest of the ISO was good but uh this is the most contentful post in the ISO

It’s been a few months, but my history with the elephant is that I normally have the same reads. I am always concerned about him cause the man can powerscum with the best of them, but with his activity levels and general slot odds, that’s never a good day one lynch.

I grok what he is saying in Eggs. Lot of self-conscious posting and one slight scummy vote. Here again though, I’m willing to let the active driving of the game take it out of my D1 lynch pool.

I get why Menalque is pushing Eggs. It’s a legitimate case and the most questionable objective fact on this low info day. That said, I strongly differ on reading tone. Indeed, the tone comment is odd from someone who writes 20

Because all the newbies are being solid town players, which in my experience, the wall posts quality of content being brought in is definitely town indicative

Bob/Nave are the 2 that I think have a chance of being scum, Nave by POE, and if I think Voted is just a mislynch bait type.

While I agree with flavor in that there aren't that many newbs giving off scum vibes, I would like to hear both bob and thenavneet (or their replacement) really step up and give more to the discussion right now, I think that could also be a big reason why the discussion has become so difficult.

I guess the fact that I'm reading it like he wanted to vote teacher from the beginning and was capitalising on FL's "I think it's teacher and bob" to get back on that track. But basically I take your point.

Yeah, that's intentional, as far as I'm concerned if I'm fingering two people as my scum then it's implicit that I'm reading everyone else as town to at least a greater extent than them. I also think that by not mentioning who's floating just above those two scum reads means they're not as likely to be parsing what they're saying so closely, which might give something to work with if I decide they're the more likely scum and want to start applying pressure.

If people (i.e. multiple players) think that it would be more beneficial to the gamestate for me to post who I think is town and who I think might be scum instead of Eggs & Voted then I'll think about it.
