Why is it excusable and not bannable when you play in a game throwing manner but inexcusable and bannable when I play in a game throwing manner?

Because what I did wasn't game-throwing. Claiming mason had a legitimate game purpose; it exposed scum in a way which couldn't be done otherwise. Becoming conftown on D1 is also not inherently a bad thing. Yes, it means that the masons die fairly early on, but that's not inherently a bad thing because I don't trust myself in the lategame anyway and the scum killing me instead of, sayyy, an investigative PR, means that said investigative PR has the time to generate useful results unimpeded. There's actual, provable, game utility in claiming mason, even on D1.

You can disagree with the theory, but from a theory standpoint, it is not unambiguously game-throwing.

Claiming to become conftown's not gamethrowing because there's utility in it (you're still playing to your wincon even if the decision to claim is not the MOST optimal); shooting conftown as town is gamethrowing because it is literally playing against your wincon.

Note that I sincerely doubt that the bottom four are together as a scumteam.
The bottom six there's probably at least a viable scumteam in, but fucked if I know which combo would be the most likely. (Also in like 97.5% of my games I townread someone I shouldn't be townreading, soooooo.)

I liked this reasoning, I really did. BUT
Whether or not he really townread us based on these reasoning at that moment when Maika posted, I'm doubtful
It feels like he's being lazy and only loosely following the game, but he comes up with a pretty decent reason to townread a slot mostly null, yeah i dont really know if its real.

If a post sticks out to me I can usually read the tone to it pretty well. And I usually have decent reasons for all my reads.

For those not getting it: Panzer tried to counter my point by quoting an Alisae post...which Alisae emself SAID was intentionally manipulative. Alisae's post was pretty much trolling/satirical/parody/sarcastic/snarking/whatevertermyou'dliketousefornotbeingserious. It was, self-evidently, a joke.

Panzer is portraying it not only as if it was serious, but as if it were a legitimate, genuine argument to be made that had any merit to it whatsoever. (It didn't. It's so painfully without merit that it's not even worth arguing against because the points are just so blatantly false.)

I only really disagree on Cheeky as scum and think Cafe should be higher. Dunno about jjh I've not paid him much attention. Again I really like this readslist but I hate the AtE, which is probably a playstyle thing.

Second, you can wait for a night action that could help understand Cheeky's alignment
Third, you could have waited to build a stronger case or to be more sure of the read

If the setup was Friends and Enemies (I think thats the one) you would not be saying this. You claiming mason doesn't make the game any easier to solve when you were already super obvtown. Also your partner was not okay with it. You decided to not take his feelings into consideration and go with the play anyway because you were selfish about a read that is probably wrong.
If scum killed you, a night passed where instead of geting a kill thats actually useful information wise, the masons who claimed because they "thought" they caught scum
OR they could just not shoot you and you narrowed the pool for them to look for any investigatives or whatever they think is more important.
