Okay so nomnom is one of:
1) Town with PR which triggers on admins posting, fakeclaiming survivor for some reason - Why not just be honest, other people have already claimed having PRs which trigger on NPC posts.
2) Town fakeclaiming as some kind of gambit, - ruled out by own admission
3) Telling the truth - A possibility
4) Scum with PR which triggers on admins posting, fakeclaiming survivor to make it happen and willing to take the blame when they don't disappear. - A bold move
5) Scum fakeclaiming as some kind of pretend gambit, - similarly unlikely by own admission, they'd be trying to pretend to be doing 2 but they've ruled out 2.
6) Scum betting on Kison not showing up. -BOLD MOVEWho said that?
Chamber. It's all a conspiracy.

There aren't any recent anything examples from me. I haven't played a game (iirc) in almost a year.In post 772, Jingle wrote:Mastina, do you have any recent Pine town examples?
w/r/t nomnomnom, my gut is saying this is a scum play. I don't see the benefit in claiming third party here...there's just not a real positive effect from it. Just carry on, get a non-player to do your recruiting, as I did."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

There's a madness to the method, dear Pine. The question isn't about you, it's about how she responds. In post 831, Pine wrote:There aren't any recent anything examples from me. I haven't played a game (iirc) in almost a year. This is a Parachute.- nomnomnom

@Jingle - Nah. Mastina's history with me is too complex. You're not going to get anything rational out of her about me. It drives her fucking BONKERS that she can't read me for shit.
PE: I'm not voting a claimed survivor, I'm voting someone I think is more likely to be scum than telling the truth."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

You can gamble with a lot of card games. For example, I'm partial to gambling solitaire myself, and both BS and War have easily adaptations for gambling. In post 827, Who wrote:Texas Holdem is the best out of the gambling card games that I know. "Card game" is too general a category for me to pick one best.
Not to mention Faro, which is awesome via associations despite being inherently broken.
Hold 'emmightbe the best poker variant though. This is a Parachute.- nomnomnom

I have never actually gambled on cards, I'm just talking about things which are stereotypically seen as gambling games.
BS has lots of variants, the variant in which the rank remains the same but you're allowed to pass is great, the variant in which the rank increases by one each player and you're not allowed to pass is not great.
War, if you're doing that just go for coin flips.
Solitaire I am not a fan of.
Faro I have never seen.
Hold 'em is better than the other common variant in which there are no common cards, but there are lots of variants of poker so I won't rule out one being better.Who said that?

Which kind of proves my point. If nomnomnom were ACTUALLY a survivor, they gain nothing but problems by claiming it. Scum, however, can use the claim to lead investigations and other actions away from themselves, and then when endgame rolls around can say “why lynch me when you have a real threat to lynch.”
An actual survivor shouldn’t have claimed it like that, not so early with no pressure. QED, likely lying scum."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"
