You say your behaviour when applying this playstyle is scummy. If understandably people push you for it, then they're not actually wrong, are they?
How does your strategy work then?

I feel like you're making this a lot more complicated than it has to be. If somebody pushes me, I push them back a bit. I get a good read from that.

It's because my experience primarily comes from IRL mafia, and the meta is obviously a lot different there. I also think I just get more frustrated in general when conversations are dragged out over hours or days rather than a minute or two, so my experience on mafiascum is vastly different. I didn't get pushed to this extent in my last newbie game and I'm also just not understanding a lot of what's going on right now, which is why I made the comment that I'm playing a completely different game. That's where all the frustration comes from.

So are you saying you can dish out the heat but you can't take it?

If you define 'can't take it' as me being frustrated with the game state so I take a break for a couple hours then yes, I can't take it.

I should have maybe worded it a little differently, and just say "in this game maybe it was too much"

I'm just not quite sure where you're going with this line of questioning, is all. It's not like I shut down because people were pushing me. I just had to step back and mull over things, that's what I normally do when I'm frustrated.

I'm sorry, I don't think that's idiotic at all.

I think if you get frustrated over thoise types of things (and I get it, sometimes I have low tolerance for things are mindnumbingly obvious to me), it's something maybe you need to work at

I kind of get the feeling than you aren't asking these questions to sort me, since I previously stated the reads I got from it. I think in order of most to least likely the mafia in there is skitter/chennis/exilon

Perhaps I phrases that badly. It's not any statement chennis makes individually but it's his overall unwillingness to work with me in any capacity that is anti-town, instead choosing to interact with me in this way instead. It's the reason why I think he's more likely mafia than you (Exilon) are.

I thought your frustration felt genuine then, and I thought it seemed townie in the sense you were feeling scum were managing to get to you and you feeling powerless vs it

Now when digging a bit deeper there's inconsistencies that I just can't seem to get past because they seem to go against my understanding of your motivations. Especially in regards to what you see as your meta. First off, your words point to another thing as the cause of the frustration ("people being idiotic" - which is NAI), which immediately smashes the town read I had.

Then your actions, and your reactions, don't seem to line up with what you're saying about yourself. This disconnect isn't inherently scummy. Rather, it's how you're wording it, and how you place your awareness of it, that betrays you. Your words sound far more confident about the whole process than what the game has shown so far, and even what you yourself say or do in other occasions.

I can explain further and give one or two examples. That's the gist of it.


I do however want to point out that your strategy is poorly executed and may well lead you to getting lynched as town due to no one's fault but your own.
The simple fact you admit that you sometimes make up reasons to push people puts you further in a position to get lynched. I understand maybe that's not what you literally meant. It doesn't change the fact you said it.

Just to clarify, that last statement was supposed to mean that I don't mean this as an attack on chennis, in game frustration is very different than in life frustration.
