Hi.
Okay, here's the deal. Last week was really difficult for me.
Spoiler: Emotional Health
Apathy and ennui is a major feature of my bad times. I was barely keeping my head above water elsewhere around here, and completely failing to do so in a 100+ page thread.
I apologize for my absence. I probably should have replaced immediately, when the slot was still viable, rather than waiting until my unexplained absence had dug it into a hole no one wanted to take.
I kept this game bookmarked, but haven't really checked it in a week. On a whim I looked today to see who'd replaced me, and I found that no one had. That isn't fair to the Town, so I talked to xyzzy, and they're having a hard time finding someone who wants to read 125 pages with a disadvantaged slot. I'm going to give it another attempt, and I'll actually try this time."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

Honestly, this post is what really got me to care enough to bother to contact xyzzy. In post 3101, RadiantCowbells wrote:VOTE: pine

i think scum just gave up.
I don't do this as scum. Ever. Not once in my 7 years on site. It isn't how I operate. If I think something's lost, I try harder rather than giving up. Sometimes it works.
Here's an example of how I approach an "oh I'm fucked" scum slot. I replaced into this a few weeks ago by request, and went out in a blaze of glory. To see "scum gave up" attached to me is actually kind of offensive."Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

I did think you meant tactical replace-out, so rancor rescinded.
I have no idea. I barely skimmed the early game, don't remember much, and haven't read at all since at least dawn of D1. I thought I saw something about Mastina having an investigation of some kind?"Cry havoc, and let slip the wombat of war!"

so it turns out I thought I'd changed my ruleset to accommodate replacements being able to be undone, but I apparently never did that, which makes Pine continuing with his slot potentially in violation of that part of the site rules. I'm locking the thread until I hear back from a list mod re: the best way to handle the situation now. (technically I've already heard from a list mod, but PenguinPower is the one who brought this to my attention, and he's also in the game.)
edit: no action is needed beyond a slight change in my rules. carry on!- popsofctown

I did well in my magic tournament I get to play one the special extra day for people who aren't eliminated"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

Thanks! Perhaps it is because I am a cool kid. Jingle has designated me as such.In post 3122, the worst wrote:

I scumread PenguinPower independently of RC's setup speculation but Titus didn't get it. I don't know if Tammy will get in deep enough to develop an opinion."Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
