This was one of the first requests submitted, and it surprised me at first given that I was more familiar with the anime, which obviously is far more recent. But that the anime still seems so fresh and distinctive speaks to how well the series, which began its original manga run in 1987 and persisted well throughout the 1990s, holds up to to this day.
