I fail to see how you mental gymnastics my slowed pace as a scumtell when you know I can maintain pace as scum, slow periods were more common from me in your experience than for people who know me now, and when the "gamestate I'm trying to create" is actually still pretty good even though it's not as dramatic. It looks bad that you can play very aggressively to get the game going, but once the town seems directionless you stop doing that. It's like you want to play into that kind of a gamestate.
