We don’t.

It says right in the ruleset that players have an objective in addition to their factional wincon. We still have to eliminate scum.

My Super Loved becomes Loved then normal for each day that I reach the normal lynching threshold.

Even if a vig shoots town once, worst case scenario is we arrive at 7 players day 4 with me being scum and the other scum. Assuming neither my scumbuddy and me refuse to vote myself, that means y'all have the needed 5 votes to lynch me then.

It requires everyone that is town aligned day 4 in the worst case scenario, but yes.
