As an aside:

Cult is explicitly a bastard role as defined on MS. There is a chance that your wincon will change drastically midgame.

What you're describing is bastard modding, which is seldom if ever acceptable without outright agreement from the players. Even with agreement it's often just not fun.

I'm gonna read up real quick to see if there's anything else I need to weigh in on.

Well then. I guess I didn’t know there was a difference and thought it was all considered “bastard.” But My opinion still stands. I can’t really go into it any further because the game is going on. I trust my backup/reviewer and I did what they said so...

There might be a cult. There might not be. That's all you had to do. FlavorskiiesBoonleaf probably cautioned you to tell us explicitly there might be a cult like mechanic because he's the kind of mod or mod like person who would go out of his way to ensure only people who enjoy the right style of game sign up.

Christ, I dunno. You tell me how to effectively cult hunt. At the moment, I know that Emperor, the two Masons, and Gobble are confirmed non-cult leader (with the small caveat that if Drew was recruited cult day 1 this

might

be a cult fakeclaim to cover his cult leader Emperor). And the moderator doesn't think cults are bastard.

That basically means everyone else is on the table for me for lynching the cult leader. There won't be any associative tells, because they started the game as a solo player who just didn't want to be noticed. If Emperor or Drew was recruited last night then they're scum too.

I see a world where Drew is a fakeclaiming cult leader, and I think it might be worth lynching, but at the same time the role has high enough utility and is silly enough that if it's genuine and we lose it, we're screwed.

All I know is that I tend to avoid cult games like the plague.
