yes, i recognized that it was a seemingly random vote. my primary question (and one that you skipped over) was why you chose to sheep someone you scumread on a random vote in this stage in the game where there are (at least, to me) things that you could begin seriously reading people off of.

What do you need explained exactly? I find that town generally do not hit on scum quickly unless there is a bus attempt. The fact that scum are not likely to bus unless they have to, kind of supports that notion. I think that scum are not likely to bus on Day 1 of a micro which puts them in a position where they have to get 4 mislynches against two PRs.

Penguin is scum because his vote is one of the worst ones the Chemist wagon. Why is Penguin town?
