I don't think he did.

He would probably omit the modifier deliberately.

For instance (not possible in norms), a PGO modifier would not want to be revealed. Same with bulletproof. It's a very town thing to omit even if your modifier does zilch. You could be a bp mason or nacho. Who knows?
