Arimaa is a game that is easy for humans to learn how to play and difficult to program a computer to play.

Alright, i gotta make do with what i already have here.
I dont like teachers response to getting wagoned. He posts about an hour later he is at l-1 and immediatly lashes out onto aaron for not unvoting even though he isnt on his wagon.
Now i agree that this would be a bad post had he actually been on his wagon, and even though aaron wasnt i still have a bone to pick with it but the gist is this: teacher was panicking here.In post 39, teacher wrote:
This is a terrible response to L-1 from somebody who is on my wagon. In post 37, AaronFrost wrote:Why do you want teacher to claim? Do you intend on lynching him today?
Now lolhammers are a common enough occurence on newbie games, enough to keep an eye out or even panic at times. However an experienced player like teacher, had he rolled town shouldnt have problem keeping calm at l-1. I feel like town!teacher here would have tried to explain the implications of a L-1 this early and panicked later. I believe that he also would have townread this at first glance.
Of course him disappearing right after that doesnt do him any favors either i dont think. Somethings wrong with his playstyle, yet i cant quite put my finger on it right now. I guess i'll have more substantial stuff later in the game.
Besides that im not liking saladmans activity. He seems to post a lot, yet almost all of them lack substance.Age of Empires Elo: 1500 something in DE, 1800 in HD

If you actually saw what spartan was trying to do there it wasnt to get a claim, nor to lynch. It was to put enough pressure for both teachers and the people on his wagons activity to rise. Scumreading him on such a thin basis is in itself scummy.Age of Empires Elo: 1500 something in DE, 1800 in HD

GeorgeBailey2 has been prodded. They have (expired on 2019-10-02 16:00:53) to post before I start looking for a replacement.
The activity requirements listed in the rules are a minimum, not a maximum. A good early game milestone is for everybody to have more posts than I do.The failure mode of clever is asshole.

Actually, I think Spartan's actions were more of a "to get the ball rolling" move. Voting Saladman up to L-2 seems like good pressure to get a role read, like he said he wanted. In post 92, AaronFrost wrote:Alright, since teacher's questions didn't really spark up activity levels too much, I'll throw in a question of my own and see where it gets us.
If you had to lynch somebody right now, who would it be and why?
I'd probably lynch Salad. Didn't like his quick unvote after voting Spartan and his vote on Spartan seemed very opportunistic to begin with.

Im going to need something from Dong pretty soon or thats my preferred lynch. Also open to Chibi or Yoda atm. Spartan and Salad are pretty off the table for me.
I will say we want to be coalescing in around 48 hours, so I will definitely play tonight. Im sorrya bout last night -- the site was being wonky and mod duties come first.Merfin. There's the least amount of information about Merfin right now. (if that's what you were going for ).

I don't think Dong is scum. Calm people can panick, that's not what he's saying here.
But I don't think teacher is scum just because he panicked at L-1. Wouldn't any role would panick if they're about to be lynched d1 from an RVS?- AaronFrost

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I legitimately think that teacher thought I was voting for him when I posted 37 so his reaction seemed genuine. He also did explain the implications of L-1 after that. I agree that what I posted there would've been pretty hypocritical if I was voting for teacher at that moment.
What 'bone' do you have to pick with 37?- teacher

I read 56 as saying he cant read too much into my reaction because Im generally pretty relaxed. The implication being that my reaction is pretty relaxed, just like my general play Thus to me, 56 directly contradicts 102.In post 112, GeorgeBailey wrote:In post 106, teacher wrote:Dong immediately after 39:

I read it as more of a comment on your overall character, simply stating that according to previous posts, you're pretty relaxed. Then he contrasted that to the fact you freaked out at being put to L-1, and that an experienced Town wouldn't do that.
But I think that you were just scared of being hammered d1 for no reason.- teacher

I dont think 56 was a comment about my overall character. It was a response to a direct question about my reaction, and it was saying my reaction was NAI.In post 116, GeorgeBailey wrote:I read it as more of a comment on your overall character, simply stating that according to previous posts, you're pretty relaxed. In 56 Dong says my post is no big deal -- "I dont thinkthe responseis telling"
But in 102, Dong makes a big deal of the exact same post -- "I dont like Teacher'sresponse"
I bolded response here, because he is talking aobut the EXACT same thing - a specific post, not a general character. Before it was NAI, but now -- when Im one of the few active posters in the game, and indicating openness to him -- he says it was AI. I see this as a more nuanced version of OMGUS. I dont think this is a towny evolution in the context of this game.- Merfin

George,After reading all of the rules on the site a couple times my brain feels a bit overloaded and my memory sucks so sorry if i play like dummy.
Why did you pick me for pressure, though? I can't be the only one who doesn't know what to say yet.
There is that chiibi person. (Cute name though, which is SUSPICIOUS )
From my research, it is difficult to gather any real information on Day 1.
But I think that I feel most confident infrostbeing not a bad guy.
I think he's being helpful and seems to care about the town.
Also, good to know its not just my bad internet with the site taking forever to load things.

I don't really see where teacher was panicking honestly. I think his response was pretty warranted since Spartan seemed to imply that he was okay with hammering a vote on page 2. I think teacher reacts that way regardless if it was him or someone else being wagoned.- Merfin

come to think of it, you are pretty jumpy.
Maybe you are looking for a safe place to park your vote so you can look like you are participating in the town???
You were so quick to move your vote after someone said something to you.
You've already voted so many people!
HMMMMMMMMM
I have my eyes on you, mister
Teacher, WOOPS. It wasn't game relevant so i made i tiny but forgot. Wont do it again, sorry.
I re read Spartan117's posts by themselves and he has a lot of words but they all seem like filler
and I really don't like his #38
I don't like how he tried to tell people not to quickhammer someone, and then went on to almost get someone lynched so fast.
I think it would be OBVIOUS youd only hammer people you thought were scum,
and he really looks like a better person to vote than my random one
even more than the slightly scummy GeorgeBailey
