@jingle
Because it's how I see it.

There are two REALLY town motivations to "The fuck is that guy doing?" Poke it with a stick or ignore it. You skirted the edge of the minefield.

Town doesn't worry about whether the plan will blow up on them, because they, as town, know their motivations are town. They /might/ worry about the plan blowing up in general, but you were content to watch your strongest townread poke it with a stick.
My problem with that is I think this is a case of one of those things most people would do but not necessarily skitt and I think you know her well enough to know that she entirely is someone who would skirt around it while she’s getting her head in

And so the fact that you’re pushing her for that reads kinda disingenuous

Like I’m not 100% on skitt town, I learned that I’m not as good at reading her as I thought in pfup

But I think I can read her okay and I’m sure as shit not seeing her get lynched off the back of anything we’ve had so far today

@jingle (about the post you said you are happy with the game state and why i'm not)

I don't mean to bitch about the game state bc it's meh but...rn i only have nips as a town lean

i think it's one of the games i've fewest town leans on people

i generally get 2 or 3 decent town reads, some scum pings and work around that

for me game state could have been better although i don't think it's possible to change that with actions from now on

early game was just bad for solid reads here

idk *why* you choose to do that

but this whole thing reads like you decided you were going to behave ~mysteriously~ and when someone reacted in a way that you found pushable you were going to push them
that someone incidentally happened to me
i don't think that you set out in the beginning for it to be me tho

i'm actually not sure he knows that
that's partially why i think this might be fake
if he knows that i don't think he picks me to make this push on

iirc his last experience with me was the white-flag varient game he modded that i was in scum in
which was actually almost a year ago, wow

No?

I see no better alternatives at the moment, and am happy to continue pushing here until I decide I'm wrong, until I decide there's a more scummy person, or until my vote is needed to help the gamestate.

Feel free to ask me about other people, but imo there isn't anyone scummier than skitter and I'm not going to give up a push because it's hard. That's how town loses games.

this is how i'm reading the situation rn

i think he just decided i was a good person to push, but the push wasn't tailor-made to me, if that makes sense

i feel like he decided to push me, so he started coming up with things. but i don't think he actually knows me well enough to know what is and isn't a real tell for me, so he threw the 'skitter is waffling, that's scummy line' because it's a p good scumtell in general, without knowing that it's something i do *all the time*

Basically? It means you expecting an answer to that question is in itself questionable.

In context, why do you think I would explain why I think your strong townread on Nibbui is interesting when you yourself haven't explained why you have a strong townread on Nibbui?
I want to know what you think he's done that's voteworthy
And you can just ask if you want more of an explanation, like this would have been more helpful inwtead of just posting thorface

- scum!him, as far as i'm aware, isn't as capable of sustained nuanced thought as town!him, he's made several posts that hit that threshold of nuance
- he's saying a lot of the thinga that i'm thinking, which is reassuring - it makes me feel like he's approaching the game from the same pov that i am (and i know my pov is town)
- he felt kinda self-righteous in his thing with menalque

The one thing i'm slightly wary of is i think scum!him tries to, and can, pocket me, so i'm watching out for that

Besides for that i think he's townie
What do you think of this, Nibs?
i think #2 and #3 it's a bit superficial but like, it's d1, early game and i'm generally just very town read as town. i think town me as long as isn't being an asshat gives warm fuzzy feelings to people. i'm not too icky with town reads on me early, unless i feel like i haven't done anything AI yet.

I don't know if i agree with #1, i don't know my current scum range tbh, only would know if i rolled scum in another game and preferably from the start bc replaces-in are different, but i think it's pretty much what skitt thinks my scum game looks like.

my hesitance with skitt is more that i can't look at any of her posts and think "ah, it's a thought from the most obscure places of her mind" like sometimes she would show in other games. I feel that she is being very methodical and i want to wait and see a bit more bc it's not scummy by itself if not show for a longer period of time.

I do agree w/ what you said about her hesitating to poke you though

I mean I kinda don’t care if you push there because honestly that’s useful but so far I’ve seen v little that makes me think this is scum!skitt and if I don’t think it’s actively to overwhelmingly likely then I’m not lynching her today

So if you think you can make that happen go ahead and push but I don’t think you will and I’ll fight you on it every step of the way
