I will say that there has to be a scum in the active posters, a point most people are overlooking. I have only been in one other game that reached any kind of this length on D1, and scum were quite active. It makes rereads really challenging/

I know you're not too used to play games outside the newbie queue/9p so i'll take this in good faith instead of criticizing and explain:

Micro 840 (again, i know, but it's a good example), was a 9p where we actually got to page 55 or so during d1 (and we did NOT use all of the deadline), while we also had less active people than here (it was mostly me, tw, skitt, pink ball a bit. close to the day's end slaxx replaced in but it didn't really count much in d1).

Anyway, 4/9 of the playerlist posted a bunch while other were more casual posting or even lurking in some cases. Every active slot was town.

I've a pet theory that there's prob scum in bingle/tw/skitt yes but i don't think it's because they are "active" but from their interactions. This looks like a bad-faith post for a "logical-oriented" player like you but i'll chalk it up as "not used to this kind of playerlist" thing right now.

I don't think being active/not-active by itself is of any use in reading people. But for example If someone dislikes X alignment while liking Y alignment, and they aren't posting in one of their games, yeah, they might be scum. (it's not really ellitell, but more like "how much effort each player puts in their games as each alignment").

Some people are really easy to read only observing how much effort they're putting in a game yes. Otherwise what you said is straight up bs tbh.

i was lazily reading open 756 (my game with emperor) to see if i could get something worth about scum!egix or town!emp but i'm just baffled that i might have been uncertain on him that game until i decided it was about time i do a decent PoE?

my memory sucks tbh. but i still called him strong town when i tried to solve the game for real later in d2 so my meta on him might no be completely wrong. I just thought it was an early read when it was only later that i decided to check his games.
