Yep, I've put him at L-1 and quickly after that, two unvotes (Spartan, ETL)
So that's L-3 right now.

In post 94, Farren wrote: I think this is a good way to judge read progression - gradual progression is more Town than abrupt 180s here.

For bad arguments, though - it shouldn't take that long to clear up genuine mistakes of fact, semantic confusion, or missed possibilities. Semantic confusion is probably the toughest of the three, as sometimes it isn't obvious that's what's happening - but once it is obvious, it's as easy to fix as the others.

And yes, definitely an interesting start. Should mean a fun game coming up.
That is also true. If the argument is proven to be bad logic, then correcting it in a few posts would count as post progression, at least to me.

In post 95, Farren wrote: I can think of a few different conversations that should be shut down pronto, for a variety of reasons (game rules, game integrity, benefits scum)

I don't think mine fell into any of the categories, but it was at least within eyesight of one of them, so I'm not going to hold a grudge against trying to stay away from the line.
Also agreed that discussions about things outside of what is happening in game should be stopped but there are things that should just be spoken out until the end.

I think things that could benefit scum could/would also benefit town. If we are afraid to speak about things because it could benefit scum, then we just shouldn't say anything at all?

Also, I think that talking about how we perceive "hyper" responses is a topic that shouldn't be stopped but let that conversation die off naturally.

scummy; not enough to warrant the heaps of votes placed on him anyway. The players on this BW were in order: ETL, Gdooooog123456789, Farren, though ETL switched vote soon after. I feel this BW could be important to analyze further on in the game.
Breaking down those votes on Spartan a little more:

post 39: ETL votes for Spartan.
post 46: ETL switches to FormerFish. No one else casts any votes for anyone between these two votes.
post 50: gdog votes for Spartan.
post 57: I vote for Spartan.

Never more than two votes at a time - hardly "heaps of votes." Why describe it like this?

If the bandwagon is "concerning", why haven't you asked me about my vote? (You did ask gdog, who hasn't responded.)

It’s a lot of votes for someone who hadn’t done anything scummy enough to warrant the amount of votes at that point.

Reason I questioned Gdoooog and not you is because Gdoooog didn’t give an explanation as to why he voted the way he did.

That's not what I mean when I say there was no fight. A wagon on scum usually has some opposition, a counter-wagon, something. It's not like Fish said anything that doubtlessly proved he's scum. that tells me that scum were more than happy to let people pile on that wagon, and probably at least one got on there themselves.

I'd be down for this on principle alone. I just hate wasting a lynch for no info. Hoping he either gets with the program or gets replaced.

Here's where I'm at:

TOWN
{faustiv, gilded, chibiie, maybe fish}

The rest I'm not sure yet.

Spartan
I wanted to dislike Spartan for his voting, but I actually quite liked his and he's been engaged with a natural tone.

Farren
On the surface his posts
look
town but there's something bothering me about his ISO and I can't quite put my finger on it yet. <<< this is on my to-do list to reread

Gdog
just.... gross. Totally null slot with absolutely nothing to say or contribute. Lynching this would be on policy at this point unfortunately. I wish there was more coming out of him.

Yoda
Much like Farren, looks town but something is off. I need to lock this read down more as well and figure it out.

@mod
Please note I am V/LA every weekend as I don't tend to use the computer at all at home.

Also, I'm in accounting/finance and it's currently our month-end, with missing staff, so I'm kind of overworked and busy at the moment. It's over next Tuesday/Wednesday so I will probably only be able to post once a day until then.

However, I'm working tomorrow so I plan to take a half hour or so to look more into the "not-sure"s I listed and post what I find on that before I leave the office.
Art is cool.

Sorry about that! I've been reading this but haven't had much to say. I didn't mean to be lurking, I just didn't want to make any empty posts with no ulterior purpose.

Anyways, has Gdog said anything at all as of recent or just unrelated posts? I'll read through again after I post this, I am just wondering if anyone has caught anything. I guess I'll vote them to maybe help get them to talk...? Otherwise there's nothing I can draw from them yet...

Adding on to that: I just read his posts and yeah, he's added nothing about his views, he's only repetitively voted for Spartan (3 times) and responded to the unrelated discussion.

His this lack of posting enough to warrant himself a replacement or is he still technically "active?"

I'm sick and can barely stay awake, feel dizzy and overall not in the mood for this, but Gdog's activity is lynchbaity.I want to put pressure on such plays, therefore, VOTE: Gdog.

This is
L-1
.

Will increase activity once I wake up and hopefully meds do their job, hopefully Gdog too.

I don't know that we can make anything out of Gdog's vote yet. So far all Gdog's posted has been answers to Fish's RQS and votes for Spartan. There's nothing else to work with.

If we flip Gdog, then maybe we learn something. If he flips scum, he *probably* didn't vote his partner right off the bat. I looked into that last game I played here - in Newbie games, scum are less likely to vote their partner with their opening vote than random chance would indicate. So that at least would make me a little more comfortable about Spartan. If he flips Town, then we have a wagon to examine in detail.

Why? Cause your partner is getting run up and you don't know what to do about it so you just take a weak position against it without defending Gdog outright?

What wagon would you like to see right now?

yeah that's the reason.

Gdoooog's first vote pinged me as town because even newscum usually out a reason for voting someone. The fact he didn't made me think he's probably town. The fact he's done it again is eh... still I'm not confident he's scum.
