I think that January & Fancy(before DrD) were hiding behind Tic’s meta-driven scumread and went for it. Once I VL/A’d and Tic was off of me,

they moved onto different targets

since mine was off me. DrD came in and stuck up for me, while tic went back on me immediately and January followed.
