I dont have any judgement on Farren, but if I had to state an opinion on him it's kind of vague. I mean, he said a lot of things on page 6 without a whole lot of backing. He's asked a lot of questions, so honestly I believe we should return the favor and ask him some things too.

"Logic" is not what comes to mind when I read post 71. To me it felt unnatural -

like someone took a look at progression and hit the fast-forward button on it.

As 71 was Spartan's response to something I said early on but I am wondering why you think it was unnatural. Personally I believe his response was very understandable and was answered in a very calm manner.

I know its not going to be believed now as factually its after your post, but I wasnt sheeping in the slightest, I read #14 and was about to comment on it, but got distracted irl. I can see how my delayed irl response can look like sheeping but its not whether you want to believe that, its up to you im not bothered either way. I'm happy where my vote is atm, sure I can see how it may be newbtown, but it could also be newbscum being over defensive, having a inexperienced response does not mean that a person is instantly town. I have seen several times where people have been let off the hook for things they have said with it being put down to them being new to forum mafia, and therefore they are automatically newbtown.

He gives a valid reason and addresses his conflicting views on my suspicious nature early on, but also staying openminded.

Hey all - I'm here, but like I mentioned earlier, today/tomorrow is gonna be hairy. I've been sort of following, though my reads haven't really changed given the farren/chibie face-off. I still feel like Farren is a little too composed. I like that chibiie is forcing him to interact. If Farren flips at any point, either green or red, this will be good to mine for info.

I think gdog votes are lazy and horrendous at this point in the day phase. Anyone voting gdog should probably do something more productive. It's clear that slot is not and probably never will be anything substantial unless it gets replaced.

I'd like to get more involved in this game soon myself. I feel kinda float-y. Will be back again later if I can, but more likely tomorrow afternoon when it finally slows down a bit.

Apologies for lack of activity, I was in another game which was in LYLO. That game has now finished so my focus is now on this one.

This may explain why you've felt a bit disjointed and disconnected. We'll see how things change going forward. Were you Town or scum in that game? I'll need to go read it now that it's finished - and see how your early style matches up in this game.

I think someone asked me about why I’ve kept my vote on Gilded. The reason is I wanted to see the slot squirm a bit more.

Will keep it simple and not get into details, whatever you understand from "low-profile" and "misplays" is completely on you.
On a forum, they have standard meanings. I don't think people would use these words so often if everyone interprets them differently. They're commonly used terms, so I'm really questioning why you ask me to explain something that you should already know...

The whole point of this queue is to get everyone - whether brand-new players or veterans from other sites - a grasp on how Mafia plays here. Different communities have different meanings for things. There is no one Unified Code of Mafia. Any questions about what someone means or what something means should be answered honestly, not dismissed contemptuously.

Second: I think I do have a pretty good grasp on what they mean (at least where I come from!) - but the way you're using them, they simply don't apply. So I'm trying to figure out if you are using a definition that varies from mine - as that's one way you could be making what looks to me like a laughably false accusation and not be scum for doing it. Except I already said words to that effect back in post 181. So the fact that you're questioning that is odd, given that I've already answered it. I cannot see a logical reason why Town would refuse to answer my question here - which means either you're scum, your reason is illogical, or there's something I'm not seeing.

His reads on Farren/Former echo mine. I think there’s definitely one scum in there. As I said I can’t see them both being scum at this stage due to Farren’s vote on Fish. I don’t think scum places a vote on the partner that early on in the game.

Calm manner, agreed. Understandable - the individual parts were understandable, but the post taken as a whole didn't mesh together. That was the unnatural part - seeing a single post that jumps all over the place like that. I'd expect more time to pass between the shifts in his post.

To be fair, it's possible that time *did* pass - if he wrote the post over a long period of time, I'd have no way of knowing how much time passed in between. But that's definitely not how I'd expect a stream-of-consciousness set of thoughts to be posted. Most of the time when I see players utilize that, each individual thought gets its own post.

One thing I believe about this game: keeping emotions out of it as much as is possible is good for the health of the game. Otherwise, things turn into a toxic mess, which has ramifications not only on the current game but in all of the future games involving the players.

If you're reading me as composed, then that at least means I'm succeeding on that front. If anyone, Town or scum, scumread or "scumread" me for it, so be it. It's not changing any time soon if I can help it.
